How to select rows in a DataFrame between two values, in Python Pandas? - Stack Overflow
If you want to derive a dataframe containing all values in any given row, column position between two numbers you can do this:

newdf = df[(df >= val1) & (df <=val2)]

it will return a new dataframe with same shape (same row and column count) but any value that doesn't fall between val1 and val2 it replaces with an NaN value.

Conversely: use df.index.values to get the row indices for a dataframe and rename them like so: df.index = ['AA','BB']

pandas - Filter out rows with more than certain number of Nan - Stack Overflow
Convenient method approach for dropping rows or columns in a Pandas dataframe containing over a threshhold ( a limit) of non NaN (non existent, not available, null) values in a dataframe.

Note that the threshold argument is to specify non-NaN values. To use it to limit the number of NaN values, you need to know the number of columns in the dataframe beforehand like so: thresh=(len(df.columns)-limit_of_nan_values_per_row)

Really helpful feature of Pandas that allows me to slice a section dataframe by specifying two columns. That is get all the rows between two columns. Works pretty well too.

pandas.DataFrame.iterrows — pandas 0.22.0 documentation
Use this method in a for loop to iterate through the rows of a given dataframe. If you need to convert a given row to a list use the tolist method. Like so:

for index, row in df.iterrows():
pprint(row.tolist())

python - Take multiple lists into dataframe - Stack Overflow
Note, that each is that makes up your dataframe should be a column of values. That is, each value in a given list makes up a value in a given column. The number of items in the list must be the same for all lists since the index position of a given element in the lest corresponds to a row.

Awesome example that shows how to split a CSV into groups / chunks of 10 and to write them into files (CSVs) complete with header. In other words, if you have a large CSV file, you can chunk it into files with this approach. Works for read_excel and to_excel as well.
