Here's a little script you can run in the current App Store version of Pythonista to work around the "on-screen keys covering console input" issue on the 11" iPad Pro. I could definitely have thought of this earlier, hope it's helpful. https://t.co/6Wo3gFguD1

I completely forgot to post the Editorial 1.3.4 release notes here. It should be clear that this is a maintenance release to keep the app alive for existing users, but this is not the future. pic.twitter.com/SFMqg3Jh2v

I've just released an update for Editorial on the App Store that has been sitting on Apple's servers for a while. It's not the update some of you may have been waiting for, but it addresses some pain points like iPhone X support etc. (thread)

I don’t really expect to support the new APIs for Editorial, but the built-in Shortcuts actions can easily be replicated with URL schemes, in case anyone even still needs them.

PSA: The built-in Shortcuts integration for Pythonista will be removed early next year. I‘m working on integrating the new iOS 13 APIs, and I hope to have it ready by the end of the year. Migration might be automatic, but I‘m not sure about that yet.

Hardware keyboard support on iPad is such a mixed bag, even in Apple's own apps. iMovie is surprisingly great at this, the Photos app basically doesn't support it at all (except in text fields, obviously). pic.twitter.com/7Lh7Stu9r6

Pythonista is 50% off for the holidays ($9.99 > $4.99). 🐍🎁 I just looked it up, and the last time you could get the app this cheap was in July 2016. There's also a TestFlight beta (see my pinned tweet).https://t.co/wVU5jp3bQA

If you have a new iPad (Pro), and are affected by the Pythonista bug that obscures the console prompt while typing, here’s a temporary workaround: Disable “Shortcuts” in the keyboard settings. Not ideal, I know, but a real fix is coming soon. pic.twitter.com/J3ummFYr3L
