I fully appreciate the criticisms on this, but I can think of one good reason why Notarizing is not just Security Theater: It gives the responsible developer some "confirmation" that his app does not *unintentionally* contain malware. Like a mandatory virustotal dot com check.

They've been shipping malfunctioning, anti-ergonomic & disgracefully bad keyboards, mice & TV remotes for years – over multiple product generations – and now we're marveling at their industrial design chops because they designed a credit card. We've reached peak Tim . https://t.co/a27eiXDUJc

Update: don't try this at home, kids. @ATTCares are dirty rotten liars and their mothers wear combat boots. They tried to sneak in $405 in additional hidden fees (that they originally *swore* would never appear) over the life of the phone. Contract cancelled, iPhone SE returned.

Just bought an iPhoneSE to replace my beloved 5S for 99¢ + 2yr contract with my existing carrier. lol. I use my phone almost exclusively as an Audiobook & podcast player (during exercise), & I wanted a *small* iPhone with a headphone jack & TouchID. And I didn't want to pay >$1K.

@marcoarment Marco, I see from the screenshots you've removed the x0.75 playback speed from Overcast 5. PLEASE bring this back. It's a completely essential feature for adults learning foreign languages. For me, this is a deal breaker. Cheers.

Disagree completely. My laptop is still a 2011 11" MBA. And the incredibly sad thing is that it's better than any laptop  currently sells: durable keyboard, sane key travel, T-shape arrows, normal-sized-actual-click-trackpad, 2 USBA ports, Magsafe, green power indicator light. https://t.co/pvI0pLvk40

Yeah, I know. Of course I agree  srsly needs to fix this. Just being a jerk :). Personally, I gave up on wireless input devices years ago. Too unreliable. But then again, I only use input devices with a Mac mini. Given newer, port-starved  laptops this issue is inexcusable.

One would think the ability to buy any foreign language ebook from anywhere in the world would be an advantage of digital books. One would be wrong. It's invariably harder to buy a foreign language ebook than a to have a hard copy delivered overseas. Why does everything suck?

So there is no new multi-paradigm cross-platform declarative UI toolkit that magically does everything & solves the touch-WIMP mismatch. It's just UIKit crammed into MacOS as an alternative to AppKit. And that doesn't even arrive for another year. Maybe ObjC really *is* forever. https://t.co/OT5KbMyuiX
