I was briefly torn about disabling iCloud Backup, but basically everything syncs now, so I'm not sure it's saving anything that I couldn't recover elsewhere.

After 6 years working on Castro, I've decided that it's time for a change. I'm finishing up in a few weeks. Thanks so much to everyone who supported my work on this over the years, it's been an adventure!

Castro is in great hands and I'm excited to see where it goes next. 🐙

Full credit to @marcoarment for bringing easy video clip sharing to podcast apps. I genuinely hate copying features from other apps, but once in a while a competitor does something really fucking cool and you have to respond. https://t.co/s50L3OmVam

My connection with Apple is largely thanks to Panic; back in 2003 their lovely polished apps are what made me want to make Mac software.

I’d love to bring Castro to Mac some time, but I’m pessimistic about Marzipan so if I was doing it this year, I think I could make something more Mac-like using AppKit 😬

It's wild to see people deriding podcast apps as being behind the times. Podcasting is the one part of the internet that's actually working the way it should. Imagine looking at Facebook or Netflix and thinking "yep, that's the dream I hope everything goes like this" 😬

The single biggest thing Apple could do to kickstart Watch app development imho is to sell developer units that you can connect to directly with a wire, just like the ones Apple uses to do watch app development.

This memory requirement is news to me. So great to hear about a change like this 6 months after it shipped. Also there's no details I can find on what the rules are it's just "use less memory". Really hate this platform sometimes. 😥https://t.co/O7QNN7u7TR

my conference talk is that Apple meticulously constructed the iOS platform to protect them from having a third party software vendor like Adobe or Microsoft getting too much power on the platform (as happened on Mac), but now Facebook has that power instead. great.

Apple Watch is not a fun platform to work on because it takes minutes to see the results each time you build and run. Sometimes it doesn’t work at all. https://t.co/yu5D5n1ZfD

Frequently used apps (email, messaging, podcasts, rss) need to constant full time maintenance and development.

Paid up-front was always an illusion; a downpayment on a subscription or a pyramid scheme where new users would pay the costs of earlier ones.https://t.co/QqN34AhQlB
