The way I see it, you can use USB-C headphones on other non-mobile devices (PCs, etc.).
You can't do that with Lightning.
Therefore, I am okay with USB-C headphones. But not really Lightning headphones.
For now, though, I'd still use 3.5mm dongles for both Lightning and USB-C.
