Painless OAuth with PHP - PHP OAuth API package blog - PHP Classes
This PHP OAuth client class was built specifically with the purpose to get you up to speed without knowing much about how the protocol works.

It is always good to know how the protocol works internally but if you do not have the time nor the patience, you should not need to know the protocol extensively.

Code Monster is a gentle and fun introduction to programming concepts. It is a first step in learning to program. It is not intended to teach all of computer science and programming.

The school that swapped its laptops for iPads… and wants to switch back | PC Pro blog
The reader, who asked not to be identified, is an ICT co-ordinator at a secondary school. He tells how his “image-conscious” headmaster was seduced by a scheme that allowed all the school’s staff to replace their laptop computers with an iPad 2.

There is an its not all bad section and some of the comments correct some of the school's mistakes. I guess the lesson is know what you are getting into.

Education: sometimes it’s not complex (a reply to Nick Dennis)
In a nutshell, to my mind, independent (private) schools create a weakness in society by undermining its cohesiveness and creating greater power-law distributions of wealth and infleunce.

Converting Frame Rates in Compressor
Animation at low frame rates (eg 6 fps) limits the amount of work kids
have to do, but it looks jerky.

Compressor (£34.99 on the App Store - you'll already have it if you've
got the old Final Cut Studio) can retime clips by generating
intermediate frames. Doing this smooths out the jerky motion.

There are instructions for retiming on this page:
http://www.kenstone.net/fcp_homepage/converting_frame_rates_compressor.html

It's a bit laborious and can take some time (and processing power).

How To Use Impress.Js | Cube Websites Blog
Yesterday, I wrote about Impress.js, an awesome JavaScript library for creating online presentations. Since posting online, I’ve had several people ask how exactly to use it, as there’s no set documentation on the actual project page.  This guide will help you get started and allow you to create a simple slideshow, but after completing it please bear in mind that there’s so much more that can be done with it.  The only limit is your creativity!
