Interesting photonic fiber research, which resembles dichroic materials, but because it is stretchable, allows active changing of the color by adjusting the bandgap. Possible uses in smart cloth showing deformation damage, or as a possible active camouflage textile system.

This seems to use the same kind of tricks as those luminescent solar concentrator plates, that internally reflect captured light and convert the frequency internally to retransmit to edge PV modules. Just shifting down to IR. The interesting bit is the prevention of reradiation through the top surface, which provides the potential for solar thermal power generation without concentrating mirrors using not well aligned surfaces of panels manufactured using chip fabrication techniques.

I think they are basically trying to sell a thin film prismatic lens array with spectrum waveguiding as an aftermarket upgrade to existing solar PV systems. Wait, now they are doing photoelectrochemical hydrogen production with the intent of synthetic natural gas production? Seems they are close to the magical 1.23V open circuit voltage needed for direct solar hydrogen production.
