Industry sees new opportunities for space manufacturing -
ZBLAN fiber optic manufacturing demos on ISS shortly. This is big, because at current ZBLAN pricing, if the orbital manufacturing is viable, it can justify a Bigelow 330 space station and 6 flights a year of SpaceX Dragon to ferry ingots up and fiber down, as a real closing business case.

NanoRacks To Catalyze Concepts for Deep Space Habitats
So they are trying to resurrect Skylab's wet workshop design, using a centaur upper stage, an intermediate docking node module called Ixiom, and a Cygnus vehicle for ISS delivery tug ops. If they are incorporating the ACES long duration upper stage work, with a stronger/better centaur tank, this might be feasible, but that's a lot of fitting work in orbit and centaur tanks aren't exactly the greatest starting point for a module hull.

Reentry vehicle sent through the ISS JEM airlock and ejected on the Cyclops launcher, for very time dependent cargo (living biological samples). Lifting blunt body reentry with parafoil touchdown.) If these things can be stowed outside until needed, a cargo ship brings up a RV multipack rack, which makes for a scenario where smallsat launchers can deliver cargo (but still no smallsat cargo delivery vehicle yet to bring small payloads) and then payloads can be returned independently later.
