Gillmor Gang: Dog Days | TechCrunch
the personal assistant is the new smartphone! can't live without it once you (technology; augmented intelligence and artificial intelligence) mastered it. // GoButtler in Germany. And Operator in SV - http://techcrunch.com/2015/04/22/the-request-network/ - << both take a cut/commission fee. Amazon, Microsoft, Google, Facebook could have it as features. Just as Facebook can have Meerkat as feature, for the celebrities. And the personal assistant - will be JUST A FEATURE - on your phone. iOS, Android ... & Facebook's 'empire' Platform to keep you inside Facebook continuing scrolling that god damn newsfeed. // // noise is lower on FB newsfeed (learning algorithm - your personal filter bubble) vs Twitter and vs RSS. ... Google News is a different thing. // // &! and there is a business in manual (editor, personal brand, leader) content curation/editing as well as in algo (Newsfeed)

800-Pound Publishing Gorilla Facebook Barges Back Into Blogging With “Notes” | TechCrunch
Facebook’s advantage is its distribution. The same weapon it’s used to barge into web publishing with Instant Articles and video hosting with its auto-play clips could help it invade blogging. It’s similar to how LinkedIn used its natural traffic to launch a professional-minded publishing network. People will write where they get an audience. If that’s Facebook, they’ll publish there. And while Twitter doesn’t discriminate, showing every post to everyone, Facebook’s filtered feed shows you what it thinks you’ll actually consume [and what's in their best own interest, keeping you on FB, favouring native content of link-out content]. [ step by step, FB is productizing - offering more to advertisers how to reach their user base, leverage its huge user base, Big Data, users data, the ceiling for FB earnings is far off! and thus its market cap (valuation). could nearly double again from its 250bn. it doubled in 5 years from IPO slump. ] // &! wrd.cm/1Pw2v5w

How Uber’s Autonomous Cars Will Destroy 10 Million Jobs And Reshape The Economy by 2025 « CBS San Francisco
[The 2nd Industrial Revolution enabled by Moore's Law from 2000-2030/50: autonomous cars, software eats the world, marketplaces, share economy, automation, robotics, AI/augmented reality, local - just in time manufacturing via 3D printing, renewable energy and 100% recycling of everything.] The transition is already beginning to happen. Elon Musk, Tesla Motor’s CEO, says that their 2015 models will be able to self-drive 90 percent of the time.1 And the major automakers aren’t far behind – according to Bloomberg News, GM’s 2017 models will feature “technology that takes control of steering, acceleration and braking at highway speeds of 70 miles per hour or in stop-and-go congested traffic.”2 Both Google3 and Tesla4 predict that fully-autonomous cars – what Musk describes as “true autonomous driving where you could literally get in the car, go to sleep and wake up at your destination” – will be available to the public by 2020. Here’s How Chat Apps Are Becoming As Important As Social Media For Brands | TechCrunch
Asia’s messaging apps have been around longer, and thus most have more mature business models that generate income by connecting brands with consumers, in addition to other non-marketing revenue streams such as games and stickers. If 2014 was the year that the West wised up to the potential of messaging apps, then 2015 is the year that they’ll get smart and make money from them. &! http://techcrunch.com/2014/12/31/the-message-in-messaging-apps/ &! are still silos - http://techcrunch.com/2015/01/22/button-12m-redpoint/ &! http://techcrunch.com/2014/12/06/six-drivers-of-the-700b-mobile-internet/
