Terror: Wer sind "die", wer sind "wir"? - Kommentar - SPIEGEL ONLINE
//&! Afghan air strike: Kunduz MSF clinic workers killed - BBC News
western world (politicians and vast majority of public) is not comfortable with boots on the ground (since WMD's/Iraq War catastrophe). so it is in the name of war on terror, the drone strikes, with minimal intelligence, making it a hit and miss. = collateral damage. no wonder why uneducated illiterate people join radicalist and extremist movement (funded and stocked w weapons by Arab League through the backdoors) against the west and other religious minorities in the middle east and other governments that hold local power ... when the west drone strike/bombs their village and family to smithereens ... the west wth no accountability. no transparency. bordering war crime. bordering carpet bombing. // US military apologises for bombing - Afghan President's Office - bit.ly/1VufFa8 &! bit.ly/1VuIC5E &! U.S. developing sanctions against China over cyberthefts - The Washington Post
[ double standard. probably know that they will be outed come time to have e-mailed trade secrets of other nations big companies to their own national companies, even if it is just for infrastructure or defense contract bids ] The White House is getting ready to issue "unprecedented economic sanctions" against Chinese companies and individuals "who have benefited from their government’s cybertheft of valuable U.S. trade secrets," says the Washington Post. But the Post doesn't explain what those sanctions would be, or why the U.S. is going after individual targets instead of the Chinese government itself. One thing that is clear: Chinese president Xi Jinping is scheduled to visit the U.S. next month.

Corporation also said it would have to shut local radio stations if Treasury did not provide funds to offset the cost of free TV licences for over-75s, claims new book - bit.ly/1gWv0xo - Hall has insisted that the negotiations resulted in “a strong deal for the BBC”, but both sides have been criticised for agreeing the deal behind closed doors.

Europe's economic challenge not just about Greece - BBC News
IMF, Christine Lagarde, said: "I remain firmly of the view that Greece's debt has become unsustainable." [...] Greek debt will reach 201% of GDP some time next year. [...] It is unlikely a portion of the debt will be written off but there may well be an agreement to extend current loans and to lower the rates of interest. [...] [ the overall health of Europe as a whole and its individual parts in question] [...] the eurozone economy splutters. There is a recovery - the eurozone is growing at an annual rate of 1.3% - but it is patchy. In the [Q2'15] France and Italy, which account for 40% of the eurozone economy, flat-lined. Italy which had only recently emerged from recession fell back, managing growth of just 0.2%. [...] [ ECB: on balance, outlook remains on the downside ] The eurozone economy is still smaller than it was in 2008. [...] The fundamental challenges to the European economy remain - how to innovate [...] modernise [...] [ EU project living up to its potential ]
