Water Fasting w/Vegan Diet Cures High Blood Pressure - Dr. Goldhamer - YouTube
higher blood pressure = higher risk of premature death / leading cause of disability // more ppl will die from drug side-effect than from high blood pressure - thus med profession gives lowering med only when it is really high. // changing lifestyle radically, is seen radical to reverse chronic disease. // also against diabetes! // >> TREATMENT PROGRAM IS COST-EFFECTIVE! even within the first year! than the pills.

Prof. Gary L. Francione on the Problem with Welfare Reforms and Single-Issue Campaigns - YouTube
Free Range and Co. - still promoting animal exploitation. Same with don't eat veal (eat the mom) or Foie gras (just eat the bird, don't force-feed the bird to eat the liver). << Single Issue Campaigns still promote animal exploitation. More morally better because you don't eat that kind of cruel meat? // Greenpeace doesn't promote Vegan. Just sustainability. Whole Foods "happy exploitation." << betrayal of animal rights! PETA gave Whole Foods an award for "best animal-friendly." [...] "lessen the suffering." // when its about human rights we take an absolute position. but animal rights public takes no absolute position but talks about meatless Monday's. If it's wrong its wrong. If it violates fundamental human rights, it violates human rights. There are not baby steps. No journey. // Educate people about Veganism. And animal rights will take care of itself. But current Vegan movement is just about "humane" or "compassionate" animal exploitation. Vegan has to be a moral imperative!

Part II: Is the Government fulfilling its role in the fight against cancer?
The scale of the challenge is apparent. I think we should be as bold and ambitious as possible: scientists, clinicians, patients, the general public and politicians all working together for a single goal: to eliminate cancer within a generation, and Britain at the forefront of this. [...] Patient experience has to be prioritised and this is difficult when NHS cancer services are under unprecedented pressure and the Government far too often provides contradictory messages. The Department of Health must provide the NHS with the resources and the long-term, holistic stability to allow Trusts to invest in state-of-the-art equipment. The NHS needs to emphasise prevention and early detection too, but the risk is that under greater financial and workforce pressure, cancer services will be forced to firefight.

Be bold on sugar tax, Jamie Oliver says - BBC News
"Governments over the past 30 years have done an incredible disservice to children" [] If people are well informed (unbiased), majority makes good choices. [] addresses that mandatory processed food labeling doesnt go far enough [] tax isnt radical, its very basic! //&! [A] tax would be the "single most important" change that could be made [] "deeply symbolic" as well as raising money. Immune clue to preventing schizophrenia - BBC News
[ does diet and epigentics play a role, science knows that risk is higher if you have family case. big pharma would not be amused to hear that schizophrenic schizophrenia episodes could be reduced with an anti-inflammatory diet and active lifestyle. and anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAID's) do not work at the same rate and have side effects (lower efficacy) ] Brain scans found an overactive immune system in patients as well as in those at high risk of schizophrenia. The UK Medical Research Council team wants to test anti-inflammatory drugs to treat or even prevent the disease. [...] There has been mounting evidence that the immune system and inflammation play a key role in schizophrenia and other psychiatric conditions. //&! http://nutritionfacts.org/?s=schizo >> ie &! http://nutritionfacts.org/video/poultry-exposure-and-neurological-disease/ - Poultry workers ...

Five research papers that revolutionised health - BBC News
Richard Doll was the British statistician working for the Medical Research Council who published a ground-breaking paper in the British Medical Journal in 1950 that concluded there was "a real association between carcinoma of the lung and smoking". He looked at the incidence of smoking and lung cancer in a large number of patients and compared their experience with people who had different cancers - what scientists call a control group. His findings led him to give up smoking. But despite many subsequent studies that have supported the connection, the tobacco industry has not accepted the research.

WHO | A call for higher taxes on tobacco
Dr Margaret Chan and Mike Bloomberg call for higher taxes on tobacco. The evidence is clear: raising tobacco taxes cuts usage, encourages smokers to quit and discourages young people from picking up the habit in the first place. The United Nations ought to encourage countries to raise tobacco taxes to support the world’s Sustainable Development Goals and reduce tobacco use.
