Addiction and Depression - Have You Considered This? - YouTube
What are you running from? // the tip of the iceberg is off-label use of prescription drugs (Modafinil) for narcolepsy, ADHD and other conditions that give you the kick to focus ... on work. // Work to keep up with the Jonse's. // taking is time consuming. vs giving // commodification of human as resource, exchangable resource via capitalism // Love & Community // Do what ever it takes to get you through the day. // Good for the collective. // Coffee as gateway drug. // give everything up for success, use every thing for success // honor your needs! //

About Your Skin: What Nina Jablonski thinks you should know about your body’s biggest organ.
[ race is not biological, race and ethnicity is a social construct. baby/kids are not born innate racists. homophobes. transphobic. xenophobic nor antisemitic. ] [...] To most humans, races are creations of the mind that have social reality and that often have physical traits associated with them. So race is strictly a social construction? Yes, but that doesn’t make it any less real. When people identify as belonging to a certain group, the biological or philosophical status of the race doesn’t really matter. So race is a very durable construct and people have strong racial identities that are often tied up with physical appearance, but also include a lot of cultural aspects. [...] It’s very important that you create slaves as an inferior class as people. You dehumanize them by saying they are inherently immoral, inherently incapable of developing true human qualities. They are sub-human. This makes the whole slave trade much more palatable.

The Fermi Paradox — Where Are All The Aliens? (1/2) - YouTube
The Fermi Paradox II — Solutions and Ideas – Where Are All The Aliens? - // &! Earth is on the brink of a "mass extinction event" which could be equivalent in scale to the one that killed off the dinosaurs 65 million years ago, a landmark study by an international group of scientists has concluded. Researchers warned that deforestation, climate change, and overfishing have driven extinction rates to 1,000 times their normal level, Reuters reports. Duke University biologist and conversation expert Stuart Pimm says that "time is running out" to avert the threat of mass extinction. ADVERTISING If the crisis is to be avoided, humans need to make large scale changes immediately, Pimm says. - // WE HAVE A DECADE OR TWO till tipping point of no return!

Martha Nussbaum - The Fragility of Goodness - YouTube
“Our emotional life maps our incompleteness: A creature without any needs would never have reasons for fear, or grief, or hope, or anger.” || + “To be a good human being is to have a kind of openness to the world, an ability to trust uncertain things beyond your own control.” || || || Polluted by things we can not control. ... Tragedy comes only to those who live life. || Being a human means accepting promises from other people and trusting that other people will be good to you. When that is too much to bear, it is always possible to retreat into the thought, “I’ll live for my own comfort, for my own revenge, for my own anger, and I just won’t be a member of society anymore.” That really means, “I won’t be a human being anymore.”
