Babies, Brains, Nature and Nurture -- An Interview with Dr Stuart Shanker - Freedomain Radio - YouTube
implications for education of child and adolescent when certain things like self-regulation, deferred gratification, attention span, empathy, sympathy, relating, moral reasoning, avoidance of social interaction (can cause deficits in language and non-verbal interaction), etc etc are not properly developed during early life 0-8yrs old - thus - MANDATORY! kindergarten to be able to observe with qualified personnel and in case to be able to intervene (mitigate downstream effects) and to help the child and the parents. // 35min - adolescent offenders and repeat re-offending (and pre that, addiction and other things are symptoms). mentioned 3 books. // 47:44 - fixed mindset vs. growth mindset = praise for being intelligent (bad parenting) vs praise for doing/did good task X (good parenting). // there is no such thing as a lazy kid, stupid kid or bad kid

A Royal Hangover: Official Documentary Trailer ft. Russell Brand - A Film by Arthur Cauty (2014) - YouTube
the only, widest, accessible form of enjoyment of self with friends and leisure time of the unemployed, underemployed, working poor and squeezed middle class. drowning out the noise, the fear, the underlying anxiety about loosing all what you have. numbing yourself. the status anxiety. and the constant pain of being in the rat race. Being a prisoner in a world your were born into and nobody asked you if you want this kind of live. A prison where you have no say. Where you are victim of higher power aka Westminster & unelected House of Lords.

Amazon Pounces On Twitch After Google Balks Due To Antitrust Concerns
Google was unable to close the deal, because it was concerned about potential antitrust issues that could have come with the acquisition. The Mountain View, Calif. company already owns YouTube, the world’s most-visited content streaming site, which competes with Twitch to broadcast and stream live or on-demand video game sessions. One source noted that because of the concerns, Google and Twitch could not come to an agreement on the size of a potential breakup fee in case the deal did not go through. Representatives at Twitch could not be immediately reached for comment while representatives at  Google declined to comment. +++ +++ !!Start-Up lesson >> !! // Google failed @social & human aspect again.

Psychologie Heute-Shop - Greiner:Schamverlust Schamverlust 9783498025243

Facebook is bad for you: Get a life! | The Economist
>> People posting only the best things in their life. << The Economist reported in 2013 that people tend to grow more depressed the more time they spend on Facebook after volunteers in a University of Michigan study had their activities and emotions tracked by submitting reports about both five times every day for two weeks. The finding: people who spent more time on Facebook were more depressed than those who didn’t. “A volunteer’s sex had no influence on these findings; nor did the size of his (or her) social network, his stated motivation for using Facebook, his level of loneliness or depression or his self-esteem,” the Economist said in its report. “[Study organizers] Dr Kross and Dr Verduyn therefore conclude that, rather than enhancing well-being, Facebook undermines it.” ( source )

Martha Nussbaum - The Fragility of Goodness - YouTube
“Our emotional life maps our incompleteness: A creature without any needs would never have reasons for fear, or grief, or hope, or anger.” || + “To be a good human being is to have a kind of openness to the world, an ability to trust uncertain things beyond your own control.” || || || Polluted by things we can not control. ... Tragedy comes only to those who live life. || Being a human means accepting promises from other people and trusting that other people will be good to you. When that is too much to bear, it is always possible to retreat into the thought, “I’ll live for my own comfort, for my own revenge, for my own anger, and I just won’t be a member of society anymore.” That really means, “I won’t be a human being anymore.”
