The trap of materialism - YouTube
Consumerism! The more we consume, the better our lifes will be. ... Keeping up with the jonses. [...] the true cost of an item is not the price. as long as carbon, pollution is not priced in. thus the carbon tax and pollution tax (ecological and environmental). [...] WALL E is true. leaving a planet full of junk. and pollution, inhospitable environment. [...] post-capitalism = post-consumerism in age of abundance and marginal cost (energy, water, food). [...] a man's life does not lie in the abundance of his possessions. and be fearful of greed << Bible [...] consumerism does not equal to tue individuality or individualism of a human being among many. its a choice you can pick from and define yourself in public with it ie which color your iPhone has or what case for it [ min 8 Adam Smith; let flourish self-interested selfish economic interest through consumption = growth ] [...] shopping as experience. shopping as a way of life. self-medication. coping mechanism in the rat race.

The Mythology of STAR WARS - YouTube
min 21: George Lucas doesn't see Star Wars as very religious. But distilled construct, to accept the fact that there is a greater mystery out there. 'All the Religions are true. [...] Religions are a container for faith to hold people together.' [...] To believe in god. To ask questions. Believe in the mysteries of life. [...] "I think there is a God." [...] Religion is equal to Mythology ... trying to put the pieces of known and unknown together. [...] Religion is part of social fabric.

The Contribution of Primary Care Systems to Health Outcomes within Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) Countries, 1970–1998
[ was cited in following papers - ] [ Barbara Starfield M.D. ] (1) Strong primary care system and practice characteristics such as geographic regulation, longitudinality, coordination, and community orientation were associated with improved population health. (2) Despite health reform efforts, few OECD countries have improved essential features of their primary care systems as assessed by the scale used here. (3) The proposed scale can also be used to monitor health reform efforts intended to improve primary care. //&!

Babies, Brains, Nature and Nurture -- An Interview with Dr Stuart Shanker - Freedomain Radio - YouTube
implications for education of child and adolescent when certain things like self-regulation, deferred gratification, attention span, empathy, sympathy, relating, moral reasoning, avoidance of social interaction (can cause deficits in language and non-verbal interaction), etc etc are not properly developed during early life 0-8yrs old - thus - MANDATORY! kindergarten to be able to observe with qualified personnel and in case to be able to intervene (mitigate downstream effects) and to help the child and the parents. // 35min - adolescent offenders and repeat re-offending (and pre that, addiction and other things are symptoms). mentioned 3 books. // 47:44 - fixed mindset vs. growth mindset = praise for being intelligent (bad parenting) vs praise for doing/did good task X (good parenting). // there is no such thing as a lazy kid, stupid kid or bad kid
