if parent is obese - 40% that child will be obese in later life too. if both are overweight/obese that is then 80%. you still have to fire the gun. the gun is loaded. if both are normal weight, 7% chance child ends up obese in later life. // 53:20 - overcoming food addiction: have your breakfast with plenty of fruit - ie porridge w apple and banana (ripe) cooked/microwaved (cinnamon and apple pie spice mix) plus added fruit and or a melon first w ripe juicy pear and at least 0.5l/1pint of water and then to top it up the porridge. maybe have before the porridge a bag of salad w 2-3 brazil nuts. // or for advanced replace the porridge w a full platter of white rice w beans, leek/spring onion, light sauce or just tomato mark(w garlic).

Sugary drinks tax 'would stop millions becoming obese' - BBC News
And TV chef Jamie Oliver has campaigned for the tax saying it was the "single most important" change that could be made. The director general of the British Soft Drinks Association, Gavin Partington, said: "The hypothetical claims made in this modelling study run contrary to real-world evidence. "In fact, the soft drinks tax in Mexico has reduced average calorie intake by six calories per person per day, with no evidence that it has reduced levels of obesity." He added that other options such as reducing portion sizes or changing ingredients would be more effective.

BBC Documentary - Sugar v Fat - YouTube - min 38 - engineering addictive food "I have a sweet tooth"
Fat vs Sugar (vs Salt). Its not one. Its the combination of 3 via processed foods/home made dishes/junk/fast food/ready meals by the food industry towards the bliss point, moorish, addictive. Tricking the brain 2 overeat those engineered foods! SEE BOOK: Salt, Sugar, Fat by Michael Moss! bit.ly/1O1F0Uh - A combination u cant find it in nature. Bliss point ratio! Cheese cake/glaze donut is half fat half sugar. & dont forget the Salt. The Complete Skinny on Obesity - YouTube
chronic disease are 75% of health care expenditure in western world & developing world! developing countries have bigger problem w obesity & metabolic syndrome than infections like cholera/tb // min13 (Structure of Sugar) fructose is equal 2 alcohol. glucose is metabolized by every organ in the body. even if you don't consume glucose, your body will make it. fructose can only metabolized by the liver. you are overloading your liver (non-alcoholic fatty liver disease). fructose is a liver toxin (liver fat). fructose and alcohol is metabolized into fat! alcohol and fructose can be both nutrients, but they can also be addictive // min 20 Leptin resistance. Insulin turns sugars into fat. western diet (dietary composition, omnivore, fast & processed food) encourage body 2 up the production of insulin (sugar 2 fat) till the ceiling is reached (Pancreatitis -> diabetes). increased insulin response (from diet composition) blocks leptin-to-brain signal (feeling of full) &is addictive over time

Your Fat Has a Brain. Seriously. And It's Trying to Kill You. | Fitness - Health and Fitness Advice | OutsideOnline.com
Everyone knows that being fat is bad for you, but most people can’t explain exactly why. Some reasons are obvious. Fat tends to go hand in hand with diabetes, and more weight means increased stress on joints and the heart. More puzzling to researchers is that excess fat seems to be linked with cancer of the kidneys, colon, and liver, and even to cognitive decline. >> Overweight [too much of visceral fat] - fat function becomes distorted and turns into low-grade chronic inflammation. Long-term low-grade chronic inflammation IS the first stage of cancer. [Too much of this visceral fat] may actually help accelerate the aging process. [L]iposuction only removes the good subcutaneous fat, which is why several recent studies have associated the procedure with negative health outcomes. [Research also found how minimal amounts of visceral fat infiltrated muscle and liver - making them at risk for diabetes & co.] [... muscle is an endocrine organ.]
