Bookends for iOS
Bookends for iOS is a reference management app that works on the iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad. It is a universal app, meaning that although it works well on small screens, it takes advantage of the larger viewing area of the iPad for a richer experience.

Although Bookends for iOS can be used as a standalone app, it integrates with the Bookends reference management application on the Mac, providing seamless transfer of references and pdfs between your Mac and iOS devices. This means that you can find references when you are on the go and import them, with pdfs, into Bookends when you are at your desk (and vice versa).

GrowlyBird Home
GrowlyBird Software provides high-quality applications for Macintosh—most of them free of charge and without copy protection. Our flagship app, Growly Notes, is also available for the iPad.

We’re interested in apps you can use at home, in a small business, and at school. We like useful apps, fun apps, apps that can simplify or organize your life. We don’t like apps that try to be everything for everyone.

Growly Write
Word processing as it should be.

Perhaps the word processor you’ve been using has 100 times as many features as you need. Or it won’t work the way you want it to—too many views or too few, and nothing makes any sense. Or it looks as if it were designed back when computers displayed text in green letters on a black screen. Growly Write is something else entirely: fresh, capable, and simple. But not too simple.

The range of documents you can create in Write is staggering: multiple columns, chapters with different layouts, pictures that flow with the text or pictures that text wraps around, drop caps, tables, lists, links within a document or to web pages, borders simple and complex, and a complete toolkit of text formats. But everything is easy to find.

Growly Notes (for Mac and iPad)
Growly Notes is a versatile note-taking app, available for Mac and iPad. Somewhat like Microsoft OneNote, Growly Notes lets you capture any kind of data and arrange it on the page any way you like. Notebooks are organized into sections containing free-form pages like a sketchbook. Many applications can send data to Notes using the Services menu. You can also record audio or video notes right in Notes. Add web links, file links, or links to pages or notes within your notebooks. Scribble on your pages with the built-in drawing tools. Open a floating window to take notes while you’re doing something else. Notes lets you search all open notebooks for any text, and shows you the results in context. You can also tag notes using built-in categories or ones you create yourself. Create links to anything in your notebooks (including bookmarks) so you can jump back to them in a flash.
Supports tables and lists. Support for Dropbox Sync and Google Drive allows you to work on multiple Macs or iPads or collaborate on a notebook with friends or colleagues.
