LocalTalk-to-Ethernet bridge - Wikipedia
A LocalTalk-to-Ethernet Bridge is a network bridge that joins the physical layer of the AppleTalk networking used by previous generations of Apple Computer products to an Ethernet network. This was an important class of products in the late 1980s and early 1990s, before Ethernet support became universal on the Mac lineup.

Some LocalTalk-to-Ethernet Bridges only performed Appletalk bridging. Others were also able to bridge other protocols using ad-hoc standards. One example was the MacIP system that allowed LocalTalk-based Macs to send and receive TCP/IP (internet) packets using the bridges as a go-between.

Mac SE/30 with Upgraded ROM | Big Mess o' Wires
This page describes a small set of patches to Mac OS System 7.5 or later. These patches are required when using System 7.5 – 8.1 on certain Macintosh models with an upgraded ROM, such as a Mac ROM-inator II or a borrowed IIsi or IIfx ROM SIMM. The information below was taken from Gamba’s Macintosh web page and is preserved here to help ensure it doesn’t disappear from the web.

Mac68k AppleTalk Network - mac68k - Confluence
The mac68k AppleTalk Network is an AppleTalk network over UDP/IP to a mac68k.info server.  Nearly any Mac running OpenTransport or pre-OpenTransport AppleTalk version 58 or later from System 7 through OS 9.2.2 can connect.  When you connect, it's as if you're on the same LocalTalk network as everyone else!  Recreate the old LocalTalk LAN feel over the internet.

68k Mac ROM Boot Disk
The IIsi ROM was chosen as the basis of this modification mainly because it has usable space. The IIx ROM is 256KB and fairly dense. The IIsi ROM is 512KB and has unused drivers, and extra padding all over the place, which makes it easy to add code. The IIsi ROM is also frequently used by IIx and SE/30 owners to get a 32bit clean ROM and not need MODE32.

The library targets MacOS (68k), MacOS Classic, MacOS Carbon, MacOSX, Win32, MSDos with the Dos4gw dos extender, MSDos with the FlashTek X32 Dos extender, XBox, Playstation 2, GameCube, Gameboy Advance. Other platforms are planned in the near future depending on demand and whether I can get my hands on development kits.

Floodgap's Power MachTen Hacking Page @ Retrotech: Getting Mach Ten and Classic Mac Unix into the 21st Century!
MachTen is a Mach-based environment that runs as an application under the classic Mac OS (I run it under OS 9.2.2, but it will happily run under Systems as old as 7.x). Much like Mac OS X, Mach operates as the system's kernel and a BSD userland (in this case based on BSD4.4) sits on top; unlike OS X, however, the Mach kernel runs as a regular Mac application and implements a virtual machine which manages the pre-emptive multitasking of processes running within MachTen. In effect, it's OS X turned inside out: in OS X Tiger, the classic MacOS runs as an app within Mach, whereas under MachTen, Mach runs as an app within the classic MacOS.

So, this is my step-by-step instructions for compiling SIMH on OS X (Snow Leopard 10.6.7), running the PDP-11 emulator and getting a V7 Unix image up and running on it
