This is a multi-fandom fic-finder community to help you find fics that match a kink you might have -- for a broad definition of "kink" meaning "anything that presses your buttons and gets you excited". That might be something that fits the traditional meaning of kink, or a narrative technique, or a type of character, or whatever.

SGA Storyfinders
Looking for a story you can't find or don't remember the title of? Google failing? Got a case of the 'there was this story, with the puddlejumper and there was blood and Ancients and what the hell was it called?' Well, this is the place to come ask and all genres and pairings (slash/het/gen/rps) are welcome. I can't guarantee that we'll be able to answer it, but surely there has to be someone who can point you in the right direction.

Pessimistic Virgo: vickyblueeyez on LJ - Deleted fic lost and found
A while back, I posted a controversial question. Should deleted fic/fic from deleted journals be fair game? As in, if you have it, should it be ok to distribute? There were a lot of heated debates (1, 2, 3, 4) over the issue. Many opinions were posted about permissions, lack of disclaimers, authors not saying their wishes, what if you can't contact the author, legal issues, why the fic was deleted, why the journal was deleted and so on.

I have an idea and I want to see what people think. I'd like to create some kind of lost and found fic community. In the comm, the format would be like any fic comm where you'd post as if you're submitting fic, tagged by fandom, and people comment if they want it sent to them. There would be rules. Rules against posting a fic where you KNOW the author doesn't want it posted, etc but that's not what I'm polling about. Nor am I getting into what 'know' means. I'm polling to see if the interest for the comm is there.

The Rec Room
It's past time for a community where people could go when they had an itch for a certain fic subgenre or a certain pairing or whatever, and *request* some recs that would scratch that itch. And where people who'd read a particular fic and then lost it but wanted to reread it (especially those elusive WsIP), could ask for some help finding the story again.

So I created it.

Multi-fandom, open membership, every style, every genre, every fandom, every pairing, you think of it, it's okay. I just ask that people play nice and stay generally on-topic.

Please pimp. Pimpage is good.
