Researchers at the US Department of Energy’s Argonne National Laboratory have developed a new fuel cell catalyst using earth-abundant materials with performance that is comparable to platinum in laboratory tests. Green Car Congress: Hybrid model accounts for more than 35% of Toyota Yaris European sales; key to Yaris sales growth
European sales of the Yaris have grown continuously over the last four years, rising from some 144,000 units in 2011 to an anticipated 200,000+ in 2015. Over the same period, the Yaris has also increased its B-segment market share from 4.1% to an anticipated 6.6%. Toyota attributes much of this ongoing sales success to the introduction of the Yaris Hybrid in 2012 and its subsequent refresh in 2014.

2015 Volkswagen Tiguan
The Tiguan is a continuation of the best crossover Volkswagen has made so far. Although its design is getting on in years, the 2015 Tiguan is as near to timeless as it can be. It features a sporty attitude and a premium appeal that others in the segment do not.

As with most vehicles from the German automaker, the 2015 Volkswagen Tiguan has an appeal that is difficult to point out directly, but that is viscerally understood by those who’ve enjoyed it. Some specifics might contribute to that, such as the sporty look, great engine performance, or fun drive, but none of these things are exactly “it.” That “it” is just there.

Electrolysis Corrosion in the Cooling System
When a heater core, radiator, or other cooling system component fails through corrosion from the inside, there's a good chance that electrolysis corrosion is to blame. Today's systems with their abundance of aluminum parts and coolant formulas that haven't changed in decades can sometimes clash. Most engine coolants ("anti-freeze") in use today include corrosion inhibitors to prevent electrolysis corrosion from happening. This doesn't mean it won't.

Changing the coolant in your engine and radiator regularly is important as it replaces those worn down electrolysis inhibitors. Proper maintenance of electrical components on the engine, especially ground wiring and connections, is equally important.

2016 Subaru WRX - Look Beyond The Sedan Build And Love It
The 2016 Subaru WRX is the latest in a line of new, but already legendary sports cars. Just the name, World Rallycross (WRX), says it all for this car. An all-new redesign for the 2015 model year had many enthusiasts unhappy though, as the five-door station wagon-style build of the previous generation gave way to a sedan-only styling. If you look beyond this change, however, you’ll see that the WRX is still a rally car to love.

Green Car Congress: CMU analysis finds BEVs powered with natural gas-based electricity have about 40% of the lifecycle GHGs of a conventional gasoline vehicle
According to a new lifecycle analysis by a team at Carnegie Mellon University, a battery electric vehicle (BEV) powered with natural gas-based electricity achieves around an average 40% lifecycle greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions reduction when compared to a conventional gasoline vehicle. Plug-in hybrids (PHEVs), either with a 30- or 60-km range, when powered by natural gas electricity, have the second lowest average emissions. Both BEVs and PHEVs provide large (more than 20%) emissions reductions compared to conventional gasoline, but none of them is a dominant strategy when compared to gasoline hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs), the team found.

The 2015 Ford F-150 King Ranch Is Beyond Ridiculous Luxury - Guys Gab
When I was a teenager, there really was no such thing as a “luxury pickup truck.” The words “luxury” and “truck” were polar opposites, never to meet in one phrase. Cadillac and Lincoln, offshoots of two of the largest pickup truck makers on the planet, had no concept of a truck on their drawing boards. CV Drive Axle Replacement
On a front-wheel or all-wheel drive car, the CV axle may require replacement if the CV joint(s) have gone bad. You may also need to pull it if the car has a "shudder" that is not due to bad brakes or tire imbalance - in which case, it may be the axle weights coming loose, which you can check by hand by simply grabbing them and seeing if they move around.
