Typography is impossible

And yet, there is at least a range: we know that a line of 45–75 characters, with 65 being roughly optimal, is perfect for our eyes when it comes to western typography.

This! We’ve known this for decades and yet I’m still so disappointed to see current (popular) digital products with measures well exceeding this: your Wiki example being one of many.
