Sharing Photo.app libraries is a cluster.
Sh*t, Photos.app can’t even merge $/!@ Libraries. Aperture did that. This is why I hate Apple on even numbered days.

The History of Aperture – MacStories
While Apple has plenty of Aperture's blood on its own hands, Adobe may have been holding the actual murder weapon. In 2005, Adobe Bridge was taking off as an import and organization tool, and Lightroom grew out of that, launching two years later. Adobe poured resources into Lightroom, making improvements on a regular basis.

It was clear to photographers that Lightroom was a focus for Adobe, while Aperture was a side project at best for Apple, and at worst, a distraction.

Thanks to all of these factors, users found it difficult to fully trust Aperture in their professional workflows. As that was the whole point of the program, it was probably doomed to fail.

Can Robert Bergman Teach Us to See Again?
Bergman’s portraits are defined by their simultaneous articulation of such seemingly contradictory meanings. In them, woundedness and beauty cannot be opposed, nor can the impulse to control be separated from a fear of being subject to the gaze of the Other. That gaze is not reducible to something purely retinal; it does not depend upon an encounter between two sets of eyes, but rather on the disruptive intensity of the presence of someone other than ourselves, and on their capacity to make themselves irreducibly and unmanageably present to us through these radiant images, and thus to disorder our sovereign centrality within the world.

OSA | Superresolution far-field imaging by coded phase reflectors distributed only along the boundary of synthetic apertures
So you can cheat quite a bit more with optical synthetic aperture designs than previously thought. May make cubesat mirrors with photon thruster management feasible for very large apertures...

Adobe DNG Converter - extend Aperture lifespan
I’ve seen this recommended as way to handle RAW files old Aperture can’t manage. I will test.

(65) Camera Basics - Equivalent Exposures - YouTube
Anyways, I made this video because equivalent exposures are something every photographer either needs to know for a photography course (like me), or wants to know to learn how to change settings on the fly. Knowledge of how camera settings relate to one another is important in photography, especially when you graduate from auto mode to manual mode, and become more professional. As photographers we have our artistic vision which dictates the settings we put into our cameras, and equivalent exposures help bridge the gap between these two mindsets.

RAW Processors – an extensive review of Aperture, Bibble, Capture One, DxO and Lightroom - Media Division
On the negative side, the auto vignetting is a bit erratic in its behavior. To be handled with care because it is affecting the lighter tones…that when its results are not just catastrophic and one just has to shut it down completely or use it in manual. I for one, prefer to shut it down because I do not find it very artistic.
