I'll never fully trust Mozilla. Maybe I'd trust them more than the other browser vendors, but still, Mozilla always seems to be doing some stupid shit side deal.

I'm with @Jason here big time. When will Apple shareholders have enough of the debt laden buybacks to support EPS on a company that is shrinking. Apple has had a million opportunities pass by as Tim kills innovation. Tomorrow should be interesting. $AAPL https://t.co/B3nBgGkdok

Apple needs to put a product person in charge & stop being the company that sucks margin from their loyal base of increasingly frustrated users. They can manage the iPhone / smartphone decline, or they can buy innovative startups, it’s that simple https://t.co/k1DsBYl7J1

EagleFiler is really powerful and versatile(!), I'm still working on workflows and howto utilize it. (Maybe I should read/watch some more intro stuff.)
I started using @Pinboard long before I discovered EagleFiler. Mostly using EagleFiler for storing/tagging articles and email.

1. Apple apps before competing ones in search results. 2. Apple apps as fixed OS default (camera, mail, browser, music, todo…) 3. Apple apps using private apis for unique capabilities. 4. Apple apps being free, as ROI 99% comes from device sales (Apple only).

Fair?

BIG NEWS: 9th Circuit holds that scraping a public website likely does not violate the CFAA, even after website owner prohibits with a cease-and-desist letter; language strongly suggests CFAA only applies to bypassing authentication. You have to wonder how many cumulative developer hours are wasted each day searching for, and discarding, stupid changes in storyboards. If 50,000 developers spend 5 minutes a day, that's over 4,000 hours *every day*.

They've been selling this idea for years that they're responsible for creating the app market, but it existed before them and would exist without them and indeed might be considerably healthier if they didn't have absolute control over 2/3 of it.

App market != App Store; the fact that people are making money selling apps through Apple's store doesn't mean they wouldn't also make just as much money selling them if that store didn't exist. (mass-market smartphones were going to happen either way...) https://t.co/KnBb75Y8MN

Too much discussion of the App Store assumes it exists in a vacuum, but it's entirely possible that the mobile software market would actually be significantly bigger now if we weren't locked into a single store with its high fees and terrible search and draconian review policies.
