1. Update the original article to remove the error.
2. Explain how the error happened.
3. Include a link to the retraction in the original article, if, as I chose to, you make the retraction its own article. https://t.co/cYpdZpYieI

This is a perfect case study in how to write a retraction. Beautifully done @gruber. 👏🏼 https://t.co/bT2CW4FjWW

this brings me happiness:

/bin/echo "RAM:$(($(sysctl hw.memsize|awk '{print $2}')/1024/1024/1024))GB"

The number of parens is impressive.

Some readers are saying there's nothing surprising about this. But I think it's still valuable as a reminder to journalists/newsrooms that if you use third-party apps to do yr work, those apps have access to yr unpublished work, which could include info about anonymous sources https://t.co/rlKsGNUhWC

If your company/org uses Google G Suite, you might wonder how much of your work Google can see. A former Google worker reveals what's visible: "Documents within your G Suite domain are not end-to-end encrypted, meaning that Google has everything they need to read your data." https://t.co/SQwX42a2t8

Also I think iCloud Drive can move Documents. Not 100% sure though and that's not my area of expertise.

On Mac, yes. A symlink could certainly be used. These paths have changed before: the System Applications directory changed in Catalina, for instance!

On iOS… well, you should still use the API, but there's not really one Documents directory because of app sandboxing.

❓ Catalyst developers! What are you missing right now? What would you really like Apple to provide as soon as possible?

I’ll go first:

• a roadmap
• the ability to choose to use shared App Store records
• TestFlight

Yes. Had the pleasure of using these at a press event pre wii launch. The contradiction of an actual Bluetooth cable stuck with me for a long time.

On iOS 13 people are now asked “Do you want to keep your subscription for this app?” when deleting an app. I’ve been wondering if that would have much of an impact. Well… now that I work @RevenueCat, I was able to ask one of my colleagues to run the data! https://t.co/rSKkjKBjsB pic.twitter.com/rnwDO20L36

That's not the location of everybody's Documents folder. 🙃 The NSFileManager API exists for a reason.

If you're still writing Obj-C API, NSErrorDomain is a great, semi-recent addition that will help your errors bridge absolutely cleanly into Swift. https://t.co/brijl5kd1m
