The buried lede here is: what happened to ~1 million web servers in 2003? Where did they go? https://t.co/dC595IxUb3

Had my late-2016 MacBook Pro keyboard replaced again. It's really impressive how fast Apple turns around mail-in repairs. I sure am glad I keep a spare (previous gen) MBP around as a backup. Maybe the 2016 will serve that purpose soon...

2. Yesterday an online transaction was rejected, forcing me to use different card. In case of suspected fraud, aren't they supposed to send a notification? In my case they didn't — fraud services called, left voicemail ~10 minutes later. (I don't answer unrecognized numbers.)

Couple of Apple Card rough edges for me recently.

1. Went to pick up Redbox reservation but the box didn't recognize me. Searching online, others say the issue is that the card # encoded on the card is different from the one shown in Wallet. (Chatted w/ Redbox; they cancelled.)

We *were* going to have to shutdown WL1 because we lost money for 4 years.

Instead, we held out 2 years by using our personal savings, so we could make WL2 (on no income) with 20 new features, so that people would WANT to upgrade.

WL1 is not "shut off", it would have been.

@mjtsai I clarified. https://t.co/vS6BQ29ARQ

We are not shutting off WL1 data! We *would* have to if we did not do this (WL2)

We have a situation where a ton of developers are dealing with a new platform and a different set of customer expectations.

And no way to test and iterate a product efficiently.

I'm guessing it's going to be ugly for developers and customers alike.

Not sure what’s going on here because I thought your now-deleted tweets were super-clear. And you deleted the announcement blog post, too. Glad to hear that data is not being turned off, after all. But not sure how to get the app since it doesn’t show up when searching on iOS 12.

Yep, I’m typing this on an Apple desktop keyboard with gouges in the S, D, and E keys. :-(

As we near the release of macOS Catalina and the arrival of Catalyst apps, how are all you iOS devs loving TestFlight on the Mac?

Pretty awesome, huh?

Bingo. Exactly why we worked for 2 years with no income, while the app lost money for 4 years.

To make WL2 worthy of a $10/yr subscription. https://t.co/XCacRZ36Ny
