Tim Cook: "We’re cognizant that there are lots of users out there that want a sort of a recurring payment like that and the receipt of new products on some sort of standard kind of basis and we’re committed to make that easier to do than perhaps it is today" https://t.co/P8Tli9OHrm

Apple OS updates have become incredibly unreliable.

I can no longer trust updating will “just work” anymore and that is incredibly sad.

8 attempts, so far, to connect my AirPods. Each has failed. They were connected fine pre-13.2.

Apple products used to just work.

😮 Amazing! C++ interop for #SwiftLang is being prototyped (C and Python already supported!). @TensorFlowWorld #TFWorld

That means you can import #python, C, and C++ symbols and use them in your Swift code.

Thank you for showing this magic ✨ @DynamicWebPaige pic.twitter.com/2d3JHj5djP

Anyway, the iOS App Store rules permit this use of dlopen. So I guess... it's ok? Maybe? But seeing other rejections out there for legitimate use that follows the rules makes us uneasy. And not getting a firm response from Apple isn't helpful.

We wanted to check with Apple and see if that workaround was ok. We'd seen some reports of libraries that call dlopen causing rejections. So I sent a DTS asking Apple about the issue and if that workaround was ok.

I can't get any response beyond them asking me to file a bug.

Having a weird DTS conversation -

If you weak link IOSurface but have a deployment target of iOS 10 or lower, Xcode will automatically link you to the _private_ iOS 10 version, which the App Store rejects.

I'm using dlopen to manually link public framework at runtime but ...

Cool, you can use Hey Siri to toggle noise cancellation on the AirPod Pros. Great for running.

I love watching @marcedwards's icon-making "speed runs." So we did a Mac App Store story on them: https://t.co/27ZYlUjzFS

Tim Cook announced a new feature to Apple Card to buy new iPhones over 12 mo period with 0 interest.

So if you wanted to know how Apple would eventually offer all hardware as a payment plan there you go.

TC says later this year, Apple Card will allow you to buy a new iPhone and pay for it over 24 months with 0% interest, apparently still including 3% cash back.

Remember: Political ads are a minuscule portion of these platforms' revenue. They've always served as a case study to show commercial advertisers that buying on these platforms really works. Now, the value of that case study is negative. So bye bye political advertising.

I see a lot of speculation that this is about lack of RAM. I doubt it. In our app, we are seeing problem with (some) WKWebView content (ads). App is silently killed after 30s in background. Critical log line attached. pic.twitter.com/BS0HkvyRpv

Well this isn't good. It means that because of the camera, iPhone 11 are undersized with 4GB of memory.

Apple greed again: saving few bucks instead of adding more memory. Which is even worst for the Pro considering its price.

#AirPodsPro quick review:

• Transparency mode is fabulous
• picking your bud size is awesome
• I wish the sticks were longer so they were easier to grip to click

I’m glad I upgraded from my OG AirPods

AirPods Pro update: brought them to a relatively (but not ridiculously) noisy cafe, and compared them with my daily driver Bose QC 35 II (v4.5.2).

Thus far, the AirPods Pro are, for me, noticeably better at both noise cancelation and sound isolation. I'm pretty surprised!
