Someone on Slashdot or Reddit — what’s the difference? — tried to explain Google’s use of each, but I still can’t figure it out. Looks completely random. As best as I can tell, Product Sans just means “newer”.

(Also, hell of a name I chose to write under. Ay carumba.)

Oct 19: iPhone XR pre-orders start
Oct 26: iPhone XR ships

I highly doubt Apple would hold an event for new iPads and MacBooks before XR ships. Doesn’t make sense let them take attention away from each other. I don’t expect event until October 30 or 31 or November.

That is absolutely true. Still think Apple is missing the editor and vision roles fulfilled by Jobs, though.

💾 Flashback to early 2001 and what one could claim was the first Mac app store — the "iDisk Software Folder". Please note that the contents of the "Software" folder do not count against your 20 megabytes (!!) of iDisk storage. pic.twitter.com/vwKa56Z7b9

I’m pretty sure the answer is no, but is there a `defaults` preference to get Safari to open new tabs next to the current tab (like how tabs open when you Cmd-click a link)?

I just don’t understand. Why doesn’t this exist – bug reports, crash reports, and customer support by userID, in one tool. 🤷‍♂️

Then splice by bug, crash, or support topic.

Sure – who doesn't love free stuff. But the question still begging to be answered is: what's the strategic advantage for Apple?

Are people going to buy more iPhones because https://t.co/LZsyukcQNm has a handful of free PG TV shows? https://t.co/Uinhtgm4zK

Yeah, Mojave seems to be using the desktop picture blending as background color in a lot of contexts (app switching, safari suggestions, dock tool tips, etc.) This makes no sense and often gets in the way of accessibility!

PSA courtesy of a very confused bug someone filed against me: it’s possible for your `po` on a scalar to be interpreted as a tagged pointer and yes the results are going to be weird

In case you use a 2018 MacBook Pro on High Sierra that acts ridiculously slow with the fan always on and its battery pretty much useless, make sure to install the 10.13.6 supplemental updates. All fixed. 🖤

Thank @benasher44 for the tip 👍https://t.co/VfrV9yqrqP

For all the shit Apple gets, here’s the thing: they iterate relentlessly at a level unrivaled in the rest of the industry. We can argue all day about Steve’s Era V Tim’s Era, but it’s actually mind melting what they’ve accomplished at scale under Tim.

I hope Apple intends to use that USB-C connections for more than 4K video output; like being able to offer a desktop experience when connected to an external monitor / KB / mouse.
