I've come to think that JavaScript is like Unix: a system hampered by backwards compatibility, where nothing can every be truly simplified, because old code can never be broken. Problems can be solved only by adding complexity.

There is way too much garbage in the debug console with Xcode 10. Missed an NSSecureCoding error because it was buried in between a bunch of `nw_protocol_boringssl_get_output_frames` and `TIC Read Status` junk. 🤬

“Thank you for filing this bug report.

Much has changed since it was filed, and we are closing it. If this is still an issue for you on the latest releases, like iOS 12, macOS 10.14 and Xcode 10, please file a new bug report.”

That’s one way to close lots of bugs, I guess.

I'm so tired of macOS caching shit to disk all over the place. It's getting worse and worse.

Although that graph does show the XR “outselling” both XS and XS Max each week…

Pretty wild – just ran `youtube-dl` from a Linux shell on my iPad, and it totally worked. Can’t wait to see where @iSH_app is going, @tblodt 😎 pic.twitter.com/dRNEyo8RGB

I saw that yesterday. Those XR numbers are so shockingly low it’s hard to believe. Does Mixpanel reveal their methodology?

The iPhone SE 2 would be Apple’s most popular smartphone each and every day if it had the SE’s form factor and the latest processor at $450.

No, Apple. Either unit sales matter and keep disclosing them, or unit sales don't matter. Apple can't have it both ways. https://t.co/IctoGzxMCC

You can not update free software from the Mac App Store without a valid credit card on file. You can not download security patches for free software from the Mac App Store without a valid credit card on file.

Found this out after switching banks.

That is completely crazy.

if you have 20GB of free APFS space you can't airdrop 18GB of files. But if you split it up into 4GB chunks and air drop each chunk it works

One theory on why Apple doesn’t seem to want to really redesign the Mac Mini: A lot of us users with a lot of Mac Minis have custom mounting or racking solutions. Messing with the form factor in the slightest could mess with that.
