The best part of Flickr's new paid model is that going pro means that your FOLLOWERS get to avoid being showered with ads. That's probably what felt most dirty about feeding Instagram. You're giving Facebook the bait to hook others with. Ugh. https://t.co/fe98DqFmdi

What I don't understand is why someone who wrote Instapaper refuses to see what a great and glorious thing it would be to make Overcast behave basically like Instapaper for audio content, for people who want that...

Basically there is a common thread here. I don't give a fcsk about podcasts, but I want to listen to
- MY material (primarily lecture series)
- ON my watch.
I don't understand why the entire Apple eco-system, including 3rd parties, make this so hard.

I totally understand and agree. (For us being able to fix "all of my sites disappeared" is a huge win, but yeah. If it helps at all we've put all the cards on the table in terms of how our system is built: https://t.co/fXLS6TTZSt)

If I can ask: why? The huge advantage for us is that we can debug problems and fix them easily, whereas iCloud is a black box...

Is there a good reason why Overcast file uploads have to be one excruciating file at a time? Why no multi-selection? or folder selection? or zip file selection. The current scheme is essentially useless for anything but a multi-hour single-file audiobook.

It's still kind of weird AVFoundation doesn't support a plug in architecture for legacy formats like QuickTime did. Guessing these legacy formats are part of a FCPX interface back to QuickTime. https://t.co/vA678sr79t

It’s official. Our beloved @hockeyapp is end of life. Microsoft today sent notifications to all developers to transition by Nov 16, 2019.

6 years into mandatory app sandboxing on the Mac App Store, it’s still not possible to ship a decent FTP client without SIX different kinds of “temporary” permission exceptions.

What a mess… https://t.co/ChTCey8mtZ

If you have a new iPad (Pro), and are affected by the Pythonista bug that obscures the console prompt while typing, here’s a temporary workaround: Disable “Shortcuts” in the keyboard settings. Not ideal, I know, but a real fix is coming soon. pic.twitter.com/J3ummFYr3L

One thing I miss that AppCode used to do very well in Objective-C: it was able to rename symbols in _comments_ when refactoring your code.

Ordered a new WD Red HDD from @newegg. The drive that was delivered has been powered on for 6,931 hours before getting to me. That’s a definition of “new” I’m unfamiliar with.
