I started in QA. It was a perfect fit for my scrutiny, problem-solving, and logical rigidity. It turns out that the right place for me in the long run was engineering, but I cherish that QA experience. It makes me a better developer every single day. https://t.co/u6CkIychGh

The amount of people who act like my time in QA was some sort of lesser than job is too damn high. Being in QA or any support role teaches you how to find problems you might not otherwise encounter and makes you a better dev. Some folks need to check their egos.

(I don’t retweet things like this lightly — all my savings are in Apple stock and any loss of reputation for them hurts me directly, but I think fixing this would help them — and me — long-term.)

Here’s a good rule on code correctness. All code you haven’t tested is wrong. All code you have tested is also wrong, but appears to work by coincidence. And code you’ve proven correct does the wrong thing, correctly.

Truth. With all due respect & as a *really* long-time Mac owner (going back to a FatMac) @tim_cook, this is worth the five minute read. Surprise us with a J&J response... https://t.co/CJiEVyZ2cw

People don’t view podcast apps the way they view web browsers, legally, even though they should.

They view them as “platforms” and their content as being *distributed* on these platforms.

They could just threaten me and my hosting companies until someone pulls the plug on me.

Xiaomi and Huawei being locked out of the US is the biggest difference. If they sold their $30-$100 smart watches here Apple Watch would be in serious trouble.https://t.co/gtRhUz3Dkf

Are the US numbers different? Here, I see tons of Fitbits and Apple Watches and pretty much nothing else.

If I didn’t use Xcode for a living, I would be heavily considering a non-Apple laptop to replace my 2016 MacBook Pro. https://t.co/IGvfthbY84

Something I noticed about the iPhone 11 Pro Max is that photos no longer have that characteristic “iPhone noise” that made it easy to see the photo was taken on an iPhone. pic.twitter.com/vZkHHfFPQT

The fact that Apple didn't react faster and nobody was fired is just mindblowing. https://t.co/6pwby0MZr3

I would go so far as to say, write your code for the debugger.

Think about where you would set break points. Be lavish with local variables, because they get optimized away by the compiler. https://t.co/j1dT2XCldr
