Mind-blowing: Richard Feynman explains how trees come mainly from the air, not the ground, and how the light and heat of a log fire is actually light and heat from the sun. https://t.co/CACD3mYhZg

Killer analysis by @benthompson. Facebook needs to be big to protect privacy & properly moderate speech, but politicians want to break up its near-monopoly https://t.co/PXQqywJpfN pic.twitter.com/7EdrE45wZj

Sounds like some things are getting fixed in next MacOS — you still can’t “react” to messages even though you’ve been able to do this in how many versions of iOS now? — but the entire thing should probably be scrapped and rewritten. It’s a relic with Frankenstein stitches.

Just watch Messages on an old MacBook I haven’t used in a while attempt to catch up on a few months of iMessages. It loaded each message one by one in rapid fire as chats moved up and down the stack based on recency. It is 2019.

"Dropped" status for individual actions is coming to OmniFocus in v3.4 for Mac and 3.3 for iOS. This feature opens up workflows in lots of OmniFocus systems, most notably the ability to "Skip" an occurrence of a repeating action. Sign up to help us test! https://t.co/sNSYXuJi5F

`AnyHashable` is a hack to fill in the space until `any Hashable` is supported and can conform to Hashable/Equatable itself, which it could do for all types without each type implementing the boilerplate

Did you know that you can drag Safari’s Downloads popover by its title into being a detached, free-standing window, so you can more easily monitor your long-running downloads? pic.twitter.com/PgfdPrDMyh

One of the biggest fake apps on @AppStore has been scamming people since 2011. Terrible, just terrible. Take a look at the reviews. I don't get it why Apple is allowing them to be inside.

On top of that India has no Apple stores, no Apple Pay, no Apple News, no iBookstore, no iTunes TV shows, etc. The famous Apple support is completely non existent here in India. So what’s the premium for?

I wish exactly the opposite: I only purchase stuff and will never use Apple streaming services.

You can only hide part of Apple Music in the music App but that's it. https://t.co/IQwqgH0zsP

It also means that == for value types like Int can just accept that type directly (and then probably get inlined to a single opcode) instead of some generic box type like Any which has to be unwrapped at runtime.

No, it‘s:

1. Open Control Center
2. Toggle rotation lock
3. Close CC
4. Rotate phone
5. Wait/hope for iOS to animate the rotation
6. Do 1-3 to lock rotation
7. Watch video locked to landscape
8. Do 1-5 to go back to portrait
9. Do 1-3 to lock rotationhttps://t.co/VApW7DJGnG

I like the idea of Apple’s TV app, but I wish I could completely turn off the iTunes Store component of it. I will never buy or rent a movie from iTunes, and I *hate* that they are mixed in with ‘free’ subscription-channels-based content to try and trick you into paying money

Exactly. Many use rotation lock because of how annoying it would be otherwise.

Especially since iOS 7, the reliability of rotating dropped off a cliff and never recovered. Bad on iPhones, even worse on iPads.https://t.co/qfh6YOcnWH
