Confirmed: the updated Mac mini will still identify as “Late 2018” in software, etc.

Also confirmed: We’re on pace for the biggest Mac mini signup week ever. Feels good to give people access to build servers, remote desktops, etc while working from home. pic.twitter.com/2J4nM45zVv

Looks like the LineHeight attribute of the NSParagraphStyle changed from 25/0 to 0/0 in 10.15.4.

Here’s a quick python script you can run to check it out: https://t.co/jgP8Ph3CXK

I wasn't aware, but am not surprised, that Apple is preventing Microsoft's non-first-party xCloud library from coming to iOS. Apple gets to stifle innovation and suppress competition for their games service. Imagine if it were this bad for music or video streaming apps https://t.co/vKI3P7nBkU

The URL preview feature in iOS is hella dangerous. I tried to copy the link from iMessage, and it opened the page in an embedded web view, thus burning my chance to analyze the final destination. And putting me at risk. Now it’s a dead forwarder.https://t.co/0nfVn4eIsW

Getting increasingly frustrated by the lag I see with iMessage delivery across devices. Anyone else seeing this? It’s especially annoying when a message appears on my watch first and takes *minutes* before it pops up on the Mac that I’m actively using and can easily respond from.

I sure hope this doesn't end up breaking Karabiner-Elements. If I had to use a machine without it, it would seriously impact usability for me. When the day comes that Apple breaks kernel extensions once and for all, I'll be holding off on OS updates for as long as I can. https://t.co/z52YJSRIKr

macOS update notifications are so user-hostile nowadays. No way to dismiss without agreeing to another notification within the next 24 hours, and really no way to turn them off at all either.

I have update checking turned off but I got a notification just now.

I guess what I'm saying is that I think there are a subset of users who will never use an iPad over a Mac, and it sometimes feels like the iPad is one or two features short for them, but no matter what they add, it will never be right for them.

Like today everyone is gushing over how good the cursor is and how Apple has really started to treat the iPad like a desktop. Wondering if in 6 months some go back to "yeah, but the Mac cursor does this, and that's essential."

Last year the iPad changed a lot and added many features people needed to consider the iPad a "desktop replacement." After a few months, the same voices were link, "nah, it's not a Mac, so I can't use it."

Wondering if cursor support will have the same effect.

Never used the beta either and messages disappear. Frustrating.

What’s a good macOS mail alternative these days?
