Do you mean the backing file on disk? The API only guarantees existence of that data until your callback block returns. Cleanup is done asynchronously but the API reserves the right to change that behavior. It’s best to move/copy that file somewhere else in the block.

How long do CKAssets actually stick around for, are we talking seconds/minutes or end of runLoop/operation?

Perhaps @Apple could rebrand iPod touch as iPad nano.

That would give it a nice place on the website, avoid that awkward discussion of iPod being “that thing everyone had 10 years ago”.

I’m curious if the 3-device limit has been fully rolled out yet. I know I have more than three and this week I just linked a new Mac laptop.

Even if iOS app access doesn’t count, I had it on no fewer than three Macs before adding the laptop this week.

I’ll update at some point but mainly it is velcro from Home Depot and some command strips.

Don’t use heavy duty velcro … too strong. Nearly destroyed a portable hard drive trying to peel it off.

I have had good luck with velcro, too, but found that those little wire-holding clips always fall off.

The amazing @praeclarum wrote an LLVM to IL compiler so he could stop shipping native libraries. And later he measured the performance hit of C to LLVM to IL to LLVM to native: zero performance loss.

This proves what everyone already knew: LLVM is pure magic.

"No."

If you’re trying to transfer domains *between CloudFlare* accounts, you can’t add the domain to the destination account because CloudFlare doesn’t allow you to modify DNS servers in the source account.

Did nobody at CloudFlare anticipate this?

Worst support ever from @CloudflareHelp. I emailed reporting their “How to transfer domains” article doesn’t work, if the source domain is already at CloudFlare as the registrar.

Their (evidently) Amazon Mechanical Turk-based support replied by sending me the broken article.

macOS 10.15 is going to be a slaughter for video and audio files, I suspect.

You may not personally have any of the doomed formats, but people out there do.
