Writing my current app in Swift instead of ObjC for once and I'd forgotten the joys of a using both:
1. a language which is almost unusable without autocomplete;
2. and an IDE where the autocomplete and syntax highlighting just randomly stop working when using that language.

Here's another wonderful Susan Kare high-res photo from the same photoshoot. Again, so much to enjoy in this photo, from the holiday Kentucky Fried Chicken, to the Tomy "High-Hopping Hoomdorm" air-powered robot on the right — I had one too! The coolest time capsule. pic.twitter.com/WUqqtJLSDR

Apple bought a company that did this a few years ago and added it to iOS in iOS 8, they just never used it and built /real/ force detection into the screen instead.

« should never do a new thing, it should only be a faster way to execute a long press »

The kind of guidance we were asking for and that never came, making it mostly useless, and eventually dismissed. https://t.co/fij0CQ2Aae

Our Apple Search Ads stopped working. Website shows "Payment Method changed from Credit Card to CN.AUDIT_LOGS.ENUMS.ACCOUNT.PAYMENT_MODEL.null”. Readding fails silently. Why is everything so terrible?

One thing I have learned: often the most popular articles are those which required little work or research.
As a rule, the harder you work on an article, the less popular it will be.
But who writes for mere popularity?

In my experience, people are much more likely to read a long Twitter thread than to click a link in a tweet to a blog post, even though blog posts are a far superior format for long-form writing.

Why is that?

The fact that every other version of Xcode ships with broken XLIFF export shows that Xcode engineers do no localization. How the hell does the world's largest company ship such obviously broken software?

Seems like Apple has extended UIWebView lifetime from April 2020 to December 2020.
