I spend most of my day in iOS Notes app. I use it to think through stuff, draft, remind, record, and doodle. I also have a note for every person I meet regularly where I queue up things I want to talk about. And a note per city for everything I discover (and want to return to). pic.twitter.com/HZGXxAwtn4

This section of the XOXO blog also states perfectly why I think Apple’s App Store needs to do a better job supporting indie developers (by providing the payment models we’re asking for) — revolution comes from independents.https://t.co/27ZiBTwi6V pic.twitter.com/ERzYcvlNEE

Great quote by @siracusa on the latest @atpfm: “I was able to glean […] the current weird implementation of Marzipan in Mojave is not representative of the long term vision of how this is supposed to work; It is merely what had to be done to make it happen in this timeframe.”

an amazing thing you discover when working on a browser is that many people believe that a browser is the same thing as a search engine

I'm not hopeful that the Apple Events situation in Mojave will be improved before "Fall". Not enough time to create a proper API.

Just look at Gatekeeper Path Randomization. It was a shitty implementation from the beginning, and AFAIK they've done zero to improve it since then.

I really feel like we wouldn’t lose anything by having the Magic Keyboard mechanism in the MacBook Pro. Nobody’s complained about its build quality, and feels very similar https://t.co/qJNR1ud3vM

How does Apple not realize that endless series of permission dialogs are terrible for users?

This is Lawyer Driven Development.

The Apple Music pause button depressed state is so many pixels off from the center of the surrounding circle that I’m not even sure this travesty was done by mistake. pic.twitter.com/3SRVzW2sNE

The most crazy part on our WebAssembly benchmark so far seems to be that all browsers are *slower* on WebAssembly, except Firefox. (We’re still working on the details, DM for a preview. Also no idea why Safari is that slow.) pic.twitter.com/c3M9923gO2

e.g. People lecturing me on Apple in the 1990s when they (by their own admission) became Mac users IN THE MID-2000s!

You READ about using 1990s-era Macs, I LIVED through those years. I KNOW what the fuck I’m talking about.

Things you can Cmd/Option+click on in Xcode:
• identifiers
• types

Things you can’t (even though it would often be useful):
• keywords
• attributes (like @escaping)
• operators (like ==)
• other syntax elements (like braces)
