Modes, and observers, and re-entrancy, and the integration between the main run loop and dispatch queues. But that's mostly straightforward elaboration once you get the concept. (Except the dispatch queue stuff: that is in fact incomprehensible.)

Not ‘nothing’; Marzipan’s goal, since the original rumor, is to “bring iOS apps to the Mac”. They don’t want an ARM-based Mac, they want an ARM-based Mac with iOS’ app ecosystem

Is it just me or there’s been a huge decrease in App Store Search Ads (Basic) lately? It used to do well but now I only get a few conversions.

Yes, that's an intuition a lot of people have shared, yours truly included. Alas, empirical evidence strongly suggests that it's not the case, all our intuitions notwithstanding. And that's interesting...

Piece about static vs dynamic typing from 2005 (!) by Martin Fowler that is applicable to the Swift vs Objective-C debate. Also shows why type inference is an anti-feature: It makes code harder to read, removing one of the biggest benefits of static typing https://t.co/2KgziL8OQi
