I feel like there's an opportunity here with Apple event access groups, e.g. an app could specify a particular group as "safe" and events in that group wouldn't trigger a prompt. Or something like that.

.@BeckyRockwelll and I used Apple’s photo printing service to order books of our wedding photos. The quality was superb and the process for building the book was incomparable. It’s really sad that it’s being discontinued.

I’d like the Retina resolution to actually be 2X the default point width (2x1680 on 15”) instead of a semi-blurry scale-down to the one below it (2x1440), and I don’t think that’s unreasonable to expect from a flagship laptop in 2018. https://t.co/8XX3VPZfeB

Good way to look at it.

No, not yet. I’d give it at least a few months to try to gauge whether the keyboard reliability problems have been fixed.

In the absence of any such claims by Apple, we have to assume the worst on that until proven otherwise with time. https://t.co/W96BnreZ26

I don't want to have to bring my OWN HDMI CABLE everywhere I'd like to use one. It's common for many houses to have multiple TVs and HDMI cables, am I supposed to buy a half dozen of these?

What if the TV is wall mounted and a new cable can't be easily connected to the TV? Etc.

My Bluetooth mouse shouldn't randomly disconnect 😎 but it does. My $70 mouse has unreliable Bluetooth with macOS. Dunno why. It comes with a usb dongle which works flawlessly.

"Who can say how many great app ideas have never reached fruition because developers were afraid their apps would get rejected."

Widget rejections were the straw that broke the back for me, and are why I haven't published to the App Store since iOS 8. https://t.co/b9TOPHxqSo

This is a *major* bummer. Look at what the Wirecutter had to say about it less than a year ago: https://t.co/EJkjHPVPnl pic.twitter.com/YgF6QvTVH0

Thanks for nothing, @AppleNews.

It took me 2 months to get approved after the many months of back and forth regarding my channel name – now they just decide to pull my channel?

Yeah, don’t think I’ll be “resubmitting my channel for approval” again tyvm. pic.twitter.com/eTgEXaNxHY

Funnily enough, photo book support was built for iOS and included with iOS 8. It never became a product, and I guess a decision was finally made to scrap it and shut down the service instead. Shame https://t.co/NFA8IZdfZC

You aren’t gonna see any major changes to the MBP for at least another year, likely 2…
Even if Apple internally came to the realization that they need a serious redesign, the dev/test/tooling cycle for anything *really* new is 3 years.

I haven't seen anybody report on this, but @gruber mentioned on the last Talk Show that he'd heard there was a problem with the alloy makeup of the butterfly mechanism, which has since been addressed. Nobody has confirmed that publicly or privately, but I'd like to believe https://t.co/vLCg9YPR4Y

On mobile (with what Apple uses) i5/i7/i9 designations are largely meaningless. Core counts don’t change within the family, just speed.

Hey @Apple, would love to see report on your usability studies where folks who actually use Esc & Arrow keys told you how FABULOUS your Touch Bar Esc & new arrow layout was.

Not holding my breath.

Count 2 more Touchbar MBPs for my family purchased in the last 9 months with no keyboard issues. I think the Rogue Amoeba article a month ago bemoaning Mac updates wasn’t on target.

The optics of having a repair program for an issue that goes back multiple years, and outright saying that the new design doesn’t address that issue... no matter how you slice it, it’s odd.
