AFAIK, Microsoft has never talked about active daily users for Microsoft Teams. Until today.

The reason? Well, they now beat Slack (13M vs 10M).

Combined w/more than 500K orgs & 91% of Fortune 100 biz, that's impressive.

also annoying:

if (!@available(…)) {

}

is a syntax error. you can only do:

if (@available(…)) {}
else {

}

Random memory — in the code base I worked on in the late ’90s, we referred to 255-character Pascal strings as bigstrings. Because they were big.

Even with the latest update, Zoom is still doing this (see quoted tweet below), and it's still bad. But I still "need" to use Zoom (and maybe you do too), so I wrote a better installer script for the Zoom.pkg. You can find details and my free script here: https://t.co/P7QeqwGPGF https://t.co/5at47CiBlh

Does the compiler treat “if @ available” as a unit, rather than having “@ available” produce a value at runtime?

Today I learned the hard way that @MailChimp, reserves the right to close your account if you didn’t login for a year, effectively stealing the money you still had in it. They also claim they cannot re-active a suspended account on their own system! Not sure if 😡 or 😭 . pic.twitter.com/MJ3VITGjca

And lastly, Apple just make the damn paywall button area for us. Mandate it. We are wasting hours on rejections, the big guys have TEAMS to try to defeat app review and push the rules. Customers have to hunt to find prices.

3 (cont) There HAS to be punishment. It's like the american legal system - if there's not punishment the ONLY way to stop criminals is to catch them in the act and say No. CLEARLY that's insane.

Scammers have no punishment AND get to keep the money! What do you expect!🤷‍♂️ Why the hell would they stop.

This is a classic @benthompson incentives angle - and why it is APPLE'S FAULT. They set and make the incentives. They are INCENTIVIZING scamming.

The scammers that are ruining the App Store WILL erode consumer trust, Apple's advantage, viability of good products, and services revenue.

Again, I think and talk about it a lot, because these things change slowly, then all of a sudden.

it's macOS; developers and users are used to trying to work around the increasingly strict security measures of the OS to do things that people expect to work. That certainly doesn't make them malicious. Incompetent, absolutely

@Atlassian does this now in their Jira Cloud product. It's like seeing ads on HBO. It's patently offensive.
