Yep. I trust Tripp/WSJ, Gurman/Bloomberg, Lessin/The Information and years of reporting more than this.

“Designs that will blow you away” is an emotional response (pride?). Supermicro was laden with just facts.

nuance in everything, etc, but compare this denial to the supermicro denial and there's a difference in the number of specifics

Tim's emotional reply
vs
Tripp/WSJ + Gurman/Bloomberg + Lessin/The Information

I believe 3 top reporters, with facts, and cross verification.

The interesting part is that stories like the WSJ one can’t be refuted. If you try, “you are trying to hide something”. Any official response, “of course Apple will say that”. Also, now that Apple News+ is a thing, apparently Tim Cook cannot challenge any news reporting, ever 🤷🏽‍♂️

Tim is gonna regret this email. I respect him for doing it (plus he *has* to) but the first paragraph is nearly Ad Hominem and the second is totally Strawman. Cringe.

But more than all that: zero facts refuting anything. Compare that to Super Micro.https://t.co/NzSPlmItbY

One might also note that calling reporting into question without offering specifics is a weird move for someone who now runs a major news distribution service

This email is going to fill the turbo meter for a lot of professional Apple apologizers, but it appears Apple didn't comment to WSJ for the piece, and Cook notably doesn't say what specifically is inaccurate. Careful now https://t.co/vigFzla0wB

I’m really glad to see the design leadership vacuum at Apple being talked about openly in the press. Apple needs someone to unify their design again and push it forward.

Exclusive: In scathing email, Apple CEO Tim Cook tells me the @WSJ report about Jony Ive’s departure — and his frustration with Cook’s alleged lack of interest in design — is “absurd.” Says reporting and conclusions "don’t match with reality.”

Whoa, this is an interesting change to property wrappers. It allows “leaking” the containing type to the projected property. https://t.co/E1MRxSeqgb
