Tilt doesn’t lock to perfect 180 deg and the tilt radius is not even. Tilts way more to the left than to the right. No height adjustability in vertical position sucks. No axis control.

If you want a good example of how Silicon Valley poisons people’s brains, look at all the tweets saying “how come Ring employees accessed customer video feeds without following proper procedures” instead of “a video camera in your home should not upload to the cloud, period”

The only ethical way of doing cloud computing:
- all customer data is stored encrypted, keys are stored on the client only
- all access logs erased after one hour

Anything else is “privacy policy” theater

Hot dog! Swift 5.2 reports much better errors. I purposefully typed a 0 for a closure. 5.1 vs. 5.2 pic.twitter.com/X12JIiKhJZ

To this day, fucking bonkers the amount SJ and Purple team got right on day 1, with no outside input, or even close to similar experience. Absolutely fucking bonkers.

Things to note about this design:

1. Screenshot alone makes all 3 choices understandable.
2. The red (destructive) “End Call” button from before the incoming call turns into “End Call + Answer”.
3. The two options for dealing w/ new call are in a window above the current call.

Took me a while to find it, but I knew in my gut that Apple had completely knocked this one out of the park — in 2007.https://t.co/o3oznKtaOR pic.twitter.com/DkHw0nH1qu

Things this iPhone does better than any Android phone I've used:
- Face ID is the best face unlock (but I miss fingerprint)
- Shortcuts is 800 million times better than Tasker and friends
- Dark mode is so much more consistent
- Today view is not a zillion clickbait news articles

The Phone app has the whole screen. That’s a lot of space. Plenty of room to make it explicit:

1. End current call and accept new call
2. Hold current call and accept new call
3. Decline new call

I’m not sure that should be the order but I am that they should spell it out.

More features Twitter could offer to solve similar problems:

- Mute all replies to a given tweet (after the fact)

- For the next week, mute replies from anyone who hasn’t followed me for at least a week

- Actually care about detecting and removing hate-speech and bot accounts https://t.co/2xzjLzKLEi

Apple's language around using SF Symbols on iOS 12 and older is sort of vague. They don't say not to use it but they do say *to* use it on iOS 13.

Now, I understand I can't just call an SF Symbol directly using UIImage in iOS 12. Anyone know if this is a hard "no" and where?
