Apple Marketing is left covering up for Development. The root issues are not billing correctly and hiding subscriptions management.

I don’t fault Dev Relations at all. What else can they do? Dev must fix the root causes.

Notice: The Apple designers themselves can’t fit the subscription benefits and the fine print on screen IN THE SPEC.

I’ve spent 100+ hours on @FlightyApp’s screen, so I’m quite familiar.

System 6 requires you to press and hold the mouse button to use menus. This is the most frustrating muscle memory break in the world. (source: I have an on-again off-again toy project for which I use System 6 and System 7 emulators.)

Apple finally reverts an Xcode change from a few versions back that caused many apps to be shipped malformed (missing code-signing timestamp, 'get-task' debugging entitlement). pic.twitter.com/PbWGXillOI

can you say more about this? i think the nsoperation apis are absolutely horrible and i think it really wouldn’t be hard to design an api that was less of a pit-of-failure, especially in an age of swift and generics. what am i missing?

Yeah, the yearly release cycle is unnecessary. It’s wack-a-mole every OS release. They get it some-what stable and do it again on the next release. All the while performance decreases as complexity increases.
