This topic pops up every so often and the responses are always 🔥🔥🔥

FWIW, the Netflix iOS and Android apps are fully native minus a few screens. We rewrote the iOS one from ground up in Objective-C a few years ago after we hit UX limits with our hybrid web approach. https://t.co/5jx9kkK1xO

Ugh I think? I am glad Eero will get more resources, but I kind of loved having at least one important gadget in my life not made by Apple/Google/Amazon/Microsoft or captured in their ecosystems. https://t.co/01MryDQw8H

At some point, Apple is going to have to ask itself: If we care about privacy, should we be providing our customers with a means to protect themselves at all points of their internet connections?

For a company that’s all about privacy, the lack of networking gear is puzzling. It’s the first/best line of defense against many threats.

I hope Panic is seven-figures OK with giving up the Coda name.

Also, this new Coda seems to be reinventing OLE and OpenDoc. The CyberDog that didn’t bark in the night. https://t.co/gqo6jgXPUW

🍃❕ The big twist: that also means the massive update to Panic's Coda currently in the works will not be called Coda!!? (It actually makes a lot of sense — it really is a whole new app.) We'll post some details on this exciting new thing in a few weeks. 2019 is gonna be fun!

🍃❔ Many of you noticed a new Coda on the scene — a reimagined document that just launched at https://t.co/jmMGuBkjF0 — and were concerned about their name. Thanks for looking out for us! We've worked with them and resolved the collision — they are Coda and it's ok.

One trick I use sometimes is to write a Swift extension on my ObjC class, or an ObjC extension on my Swift class, and put the easier-in-that-language code there. Doesn’t work for stored properties, but it can come in handy in the right places.

I went travelling for 8 months w my husband just after we got married, 18 years ago. We wrote a travelogue as we went. His parents printed it out. How quaint! we thought.
The travelogue site shut 7 years ago and the printouts are the only surviving written memories of our trip.
