Shit! Spoke too soon - looks like App Notarization has its knickers in a knot, too.

Agreed on the microphone and sound quality.

But my 2-year-old HomePods are still FAR slower to respond, less consistent in the service’s intelligence, and have more unintended wakeups (“Hmm?”) than my 5-year-old first-generation Amazon Echo. https://t.co/UNKEBs6zAu

It's not just affecting internal testers. Just had a report of an external tester not seeing the new version in the TestFlight app.

Lots of folks are affected: https://t.co/1sroQn33Yq /thx @tyson_tune

not really, no. If you reserveCapacity() the actual amount you need, then you will always get the appropriate small or large representation.

If your contents don’t fit in small, you don’t want small.

And to anyone who goes to "it's not that bad, settle down," I'd ask if you think the product would be worse if you could use it while it charges. It would be better, right? It's okay to ask for products to be better 🙂

Anyone else seeing internal TestFlight builds showing up correctly in App Store Connect but not appearing in the app for an install?

Kinda makes it hard to test.

You know how professionals are like "the Mac Pro is great because no matter what I do, it lets me keep working," well this is the exact opposite of that. "Guess I'm taking a 5 minute break while my mouse charges and make sure I plug it in again when I leave" is crazy.

I've never owned this version of the Magic Mouse so I've never had to do it, but my MX Master at work gets a low battery warning sometimes and I plug it in and keep working. This might be the ultimate form-over-function decision in recent Apple memory. https://t.co/g5LIFEO98C

Is there a way to manually request that a non-smol string be made smol if possible and have its allocation discarded, since you're unwilling to do that automatically?

Could be? I think “the man” is starting to more or less punish those of us who chose our particular sets of tradeoffs, though, in ways that I think wasn’t always so obvious even a few years ago. Maybe?

This captures it, I think. When I try to talk about this sort of thing with many peers, the response is something along the lines of, “dude, just get a better paying job” or something. It’s like… that is *not* the point, I can’t seem to convey what the point *is* exactly. https://t.co/dVHHXACpA2

I’m old enough that I’ve seen multiple people I only really know on Twitter grow up from roughly “student” to “programmer” to “manager” over the years.

Meanwhile I’ve been “programmer” the entire time, and for the last 10+ years I’ve just been JUNIOR if you ask @chockenberry. 😛

Their last good laptops were built in 2015. Since then, they've sacrificed keyboard quality, port selection and thermals chasing thinness past worthwhile diminishing returns on top of ditching nvidia for no good technical reason.
