Messages never being updated for the Mac was always the clearest example of how Apple is betting the farm on Marzipan, if not iOS, for the future. At least for me.

Poor Luna doesn’t want to give me HiDPI, but I found a way. Sadly it resets to low DPI every time I disconnect 😝 But toggling the higher resolution in SwitchResX’s menu fixes it up again pic.twitter.com/pGAcrFR6dm

I didn’t think I’d be watching a Tom Cruise PSA instructing everyone to turn off Motion Smoothing on their TVs and yet here we are. https://t.co/aKbIDSt8Yd

iCloud file sync conflict detection is a blog post waiting to happen. File coordinators, presenters, lots of magic, glue, workarounds & APFS awesomeness. Ended up working really well! (Unfortunately, none of the 3rd-party cloud providers implement change notifications yet.) https://t.co/Q8YZa69A14

Thank you - excellent log analysis.
Confirms the opinion that the unified log is there to help Apple debug, not for anyone else’s benefit, least of all forensics.

With the Snapdragon 855, @Qualcomm is boldly claiming it is the greatest platform made for mobile.

Based on 7nm, they claim it has 2x the performance of other 7nm competitors which are Apple and Samsung.

Remember that app you tried out two years ago? Anyone who roots the MacBook of their summer intern, smashes the window on their marketing director’s call, or buys their expired domain after business failure can possibly *also* read your email. https://t.co/RzjEbtIpoY

Does anyone know of a tool to create nice Mac App screenshots? Something that can simplify the task of mocking up a clean desktop and menu bar at a reasonable resolution, but preserve the app’s own menus and windows.

I’m surprised you don’t have stickers. I am sure people would buy them, as putting stickers on laptops is all the rage (esp. BBEdit’s core audience of developers).

One of the very (very) rare posts that cleary describes what customers get with a subscription and, more importantly and rare, what happens after subscription is over. The only other post/company as clear on this aspect I can remember was Jetbrains. Kudos to both of them! https://t.co/A42o8vPVuK

There are definitely drawbacks, like not being able to disable the iMac’s internal monitor when using Luna in another room, no audio passthrough (🤔) and losing the ability to command-tab or invoke Spotlight (since iOS commandeers those shortcuts). But. Xcode on iPad!

Also notice the new XR marketing mentions longest battery life ever.

Mmhmm like I said. Remember they didn’t mention that once on stage and actively hid it in spec sheets. Continued strategy missteps lately. https://t.co/q2Op1J1LgN
