Steven, you’re my friend, and you’re so smart. But come on, you can’t argue that you shouldn’t be able to double-click an article in News/Stocks to open it in a window (or a tab, or something) while continuing to look at other articles.

I remember an article from a leather accessories maker finding counterfeits on Amazon by stopping all shipments to Amazon for a length of time, then ordering their own “in stock” product from Amazon.

I just can’t seem to find the article since these recent revelations…

Few days in using my new 13” MacBook Pro:

- It’s SO tiny, just love the form factor!
- It is WAYYYY faster than my mid-2013 MBP.
- TouchBar still feels gimmicky and completely forget about it while using Mac. Nice try but I don’t think it works on a laptop.

And some of these problems can be dismissed as bugs that will be fixed, but I don't think all of them fall under that category. These are design choices, based on the idea that touch and cursor interfaces can be mixed.

They’re bad Mac apps though.

And I think they’re bad apps for a windowing-based GUI, period. News, Stocks, and Voice Memos should all be able to open multiple windows. It’s downright absurd that they can’t.

And Home’s iOS datepicker is a horrendous control for a non-touch UI.

It’s not like everyone can just put their businesses on pause for three years while Apple gets their act together. My guess is a lot of Mac Pro customers have already left for Windows, and may not be coming back.

I don’t think Touch Bar is bad personally, but it fits with the theme of Microsoft shipping a lot of envelope pushing stuff that is what people are asking them for, and Apple... not. How long is a new Mac Pro taking? How am I supposed to build a business on Apple’s pro schedule?

I don't think so. There are plenty of things Apple could have done to keep me excited about MacOS. They just haven't.

Look at Photos. If Apple bothered with that app alone, it'd make a huge difference to regular people. Instead, it's gone backwards, removing print ordering.

Apple hasn’t really spelled it out, but for Marzipan apps I wonder if the iOS store pricing will carry to the Mac app, or if it’s all the same purchase.

iOS pricing could finish off the Mac as a platform for well designed software.

Why does iPhone autocorrect think ’s’ is a word? Seriously. I don’t get it. It corrects lots of stuff and is really useful, but who (in English) types ’s’ as a word?

Soon 2019 and Apple's laptops and desktops still have the worst 3D hardware and the worst 3D driver performance of the market.

But all is fine. macOS and the Mac are mature and solved problems.
