My AirPods have been gradually losing capacity, to the point where they now last 45 minutes on a charge.

Even *in warranty*, it would cost $49/ea to ‘fix’ them. Out of warranty, $69.

$138 for 90-day warranted refurbs with no case.

Ridiculous.

100% true.

For those lucky enough to not deal with this: you must include all the fine print (because Apple can’t seem to bill when the trial ends), you must include the price, and the term, on the button*

Apple informed me they were adding a trackpad mode tip to the Tips app; here it is: “iOS Tip: Learn how to quickly place an insertion point right where you want it.” https://t.co/Ge6CcHaH0P

Better? Every time I update @FujitsuAmerica’s ScanSnap Home software, IT USES A LICENSING SLOT! Looks like I can only update 2 more times. Then I’ll replace it with an Epson or any other brand that doesn’t actively crap on their users. pic.twitter.com/bdVJ7CTs2n

Naroff told me once that static type checking for objects was kind of controversial at the time — there was a faction that held that static checking had no place in a language as dynamic as Obj-C.

While you may cry and lament that the ad-free @Flickr experience requires a $50/yr Pro sub, at least you have that option. You think FB/IG would ever let you pay $50/yr to suppress those incessant ads? Absolutely not. Options are good. Consumers win w/options. https://t.co/p2xswzjb1o

Thread last night with photos of scam artist in Mac App Store top sellers.

Besides the obvious questions of how this crap got past review, you have to wonder why stickler Apple let them use the "iSync" name. https://t.co/QqMAm9yNvr

Pythonista is 50% off for the holidays ($9.99 > $4.99). 🐍🎁 I just looked it up, and the last time you could get the app this cheap was in July 2016. There's also a TestFlight beta (see my pinned tweet).https://t.co/wVU5jp3bQA

@lapcatsoftware Good morning Jeff. Thanks for further info, but I’ve got deeper into the shit now: every app launch is followed by an async sig check, and when some return errors (even revocation) they may be ignored and launch proceeds normally. Familiar? https://t.co/Oyk9DKBCMs

It is also completely untrue that 10.14.2 (at least) doesn’t check signatures when launching apps *every* *time* (not just first run). It just ignores the errors, even certificate revocation, and allows the launch to proceed.
