Thanks, Apple.

(Attached: screenshot of an App Store "behind the scenes" article that refuses to display on Mac; says to use iOS. The "full experience" in question is just text & images, with a link to an app.) pic.twitter.com/ZeAtfluK0l

Flawless example of why iOS’s footnote design is poor & limiting.

Notice how it looks like it applies to Updates, but in reality it applies to everything *but* updates! pic.twitter.com/3dnydtdchj

If there are sandboxing/policy changes that make it easier for pro apps to be on the Mac App Store, then it'd be handy to know the details sooner rather than later as we're having real trouble getting RapidWeaver 8 approved 😔 CC @pschiller https://t.co/i4gN4ohpXf

Valid dev cert, signing an app for the hundreth time today.

For the hundreth time the iOS device DEMANDS to talk to Apple’s servers to once again verify my cert. Can’t develop on the device without a WiFi connection.

WTF?

Does Apple want to STOP third party development?!?

I wonder if Apple looked or talked to anyone from the Fastlane team before building the new App Store Connect API.

Doesn’t seem like it. https://t.co/2kWrcTNEXT

Memory stalls are so expensive in the worst case the CPU can linear scan thousands of items from an array in cache while it waits for RAM to answer a single query.

Scanning an array is trivial for the prefetcher as well.

Just to spell out a point others have made, it’s not that this is risky. It’s fine since the channel is (presumably) authenticated. But it’s atypical for Apple: Lua in iOS, releasable outside the usual OS release cycle, with less than maximal efforts to conceal how it works.

This seem like a really bad idea: Mozilla may soon ignore your defined DNS and provide its own via Cloudflare—so all your browsing history would go to a third party without your control.

Change isn't active yet, but blog post explains how to disable.https://t.co/kgEbkNXM2o

NSUUID and CFUUID are *not* toll-free bridged.

On a 100% completely unrelated note not apropos of anything in particular, I mention very casually: If CoreSimulator.framework is broken, Xcode, Console, and Safari get very unhappy.

Unfortunately, macOS 10.13.6 introduced a kernel panic on some MacBooks which can be triggered by opening the crayon color picker in OmniGraffle while using integrated graphics. Known workarounds: switch to discrete graphics, downgrade to 10.13.5, or upgrade to the Mojave beta.
