I'm not acutely concerned that Apple will betray me, but the less I understand the company's priorities, the more concerned I get. Again, this may not be healthy, but I have invested everything in my professional life to Apple. I'll have to start over if they betray me.

To make it a little less pathetic sounding: Apple is the only company that has consistently, over 25+ years shared my values for making technology accessible, user-friendly, and respectful of privacy.

I'm worried that one day I might have to reject Apple outright, and that challenges my whole adult sense of self. I know that's not healthy, but there it is...

There weren’t many of us poking holes in the Duplex announcement. And they never did allow anyone to hear an actual call, live, at the time.

... when it comes to real impact though, Apple is worse than Google. Killing Aperture without an exit option was much worse than killing Google Reader.

“in 2019, a Google-branded product, feature, or service has died, on average, about every nine days.” https://t.co/SI0YnkmJxg. I use gmail and calendar. Some Google docs. Those are switchable. Blogger is harder to quit.

I know a lot of people miss Magsafe, but the abundance of new and innovative Macbook chargers because USB-C is open really excites me. https://t.co/WYC3J8tiyf

What @gruber doesn’t mention here is worth a shout by me: Reading release notes on the Mac—or anything else—is damn near impossible if you’re visually impaired. You could use Zoom, but again, 10.15 better bring Dynamic Type to macOS. https://t.co/CdymzB4Mpv

Hmm...I have seen lenses claimed as equivalent to almost anything you can think of, but when looking more closely seemed more like a complex workaround for setting new values in nested data structures.

This part makes it sound like Apple design talk, being filtered through Beats press. Did Beats talk/work like this before?https://t.co/S9346q81Ek pic.twitter.com/LUOWRrMcjU

I’m curious who designed these. They are a significant departure from the previous Ammunition design. Did Apple’s ID department do these, or is Beats still commissioning designs out of Ammunition?

Also, Solo 4 redesign (with H1) next please. https://t.co/RwZOBnZLPG

Ooh I may have to get the Powerbeats Pro. Every single pair of noise-isolating earbuds I have ever gotten have failed at the cord. Noise isolation is important to me.

And really, who gives a fuck at ALL about wireless charging.

I wonder what happened to the complaints about Apple Park. Where they overblown, or are employees just dealing with it?

This seems like an interesting change in Safari Tech Preview 79:
