I'd put a different spin on this and say the effect will be to drive many native app developers out of business. The popups scare away customers, leaving developers little choice but to remove features, or if they can't, die.

There are some troubleshooting ideas here, which are also relevant to unexpected disconnections: https://t.co/gY2LVbm2KO Or, there could be a hardware or macOS issue.

Even Mojave recently started freezing for 20 seconds when I try to drop a file from Messages to Finder.

Swift, on the other hand, has lots of rules about what you can do in initializers.

I feel like everyone here means something different when they say "initializer model"

As far as I'm concerned, objc doesn't have one. Like this article says, initializers in objc are just method calls. There are not really any rules, only conventions.

The best use of the AirPodsPro Noice Cancellation feature is to forget about the MacBook Pro fans being on for the whole time. It's like one is built for the other. I like it so much.

I highly recommend AirPodPro to apple developers ✌️🕊

Something is seriously wrong with UI at Apple.

News. Music. TV.

All three apps are trash.

If Apple was willing to fire the Apple News exec, as recently reported, they should be willing to shuffle things up with whomever is making decisions on app design for these major apps.

SCOOP: We got a copy of the contract Apple makes repair shops sign to be a part of their “independent” repair program. The deal sucks! https://t.co/9QLM9R3CYN

SwiftUI error messages in Xcode 11.4 are 10000% better, and compilation is dramatically faster. Thank you to anyone who worked on that. It has already made my development cycle significantly better in one day’s use.

It's like the difference between occasionally needing to buy petrol for your car vs needing to pay a monthly fee or the manufacturer will come and tow it away.

I mean, look. Of course I will move to Catalina when Xcode no longer supports Mojave, because that's my job. I just want to make it clear that I'm going kicking and screaming. This is not an *upgrade* for me, it will be worse in almost every way that I care about.

It blows my mind how a simple drag and drop isn't reliable in Catalina.

The finder always jigger, not knowing where you want to drop the files despite the cursor being on the good spot.
Very often, the files end up in the wrong folder.

Dear @apple @AppleSupport — please add the option to individually control left and right Option and Command keys. Some languages need this badly. This is why we use Karabiner for Mac. Or buy programmable keyboards. https://t.co/n7U6gksIri

The fact that I cannot Notarize (and hence ship) my application without signing the Paid Applications Agreement (which has nothing to do with shipping my application, since it is not in the MAS) is infuriating!
