Microsoft open-sources its patent portfolio | ZDNet
Several years ago, I said the one thing Microsoft has to do -- to convince everyone in open source that it's truly an open-source supporter -- is stop using its patents against Android vendors. Now, it's joined the Open Invention Network (OIN), an open-source patent consortium. via Pocket

It's bananas that we ended up here instead of the easy path. 1) Shipping the Apple TV with a cable hookup 2) Doing an YouTube TV service instead of continually low-balling content providers in a sad attempt to apply the 30% tax.

So something like this to make the new tab and make it current:

tell application "Safari"
tell front window
set _old_tab to current tab
set _new_tab to make new tab at after _old_tab
set current tab to _new_tab
end tell
end tell

The Running Battle Between Deputy AG Rod Rosenstein and Andrew McCabe
On the morning of May 16, 2017, Rosenstein reportedly suggested that he secretly record President Trump to Acting FBI Director McCabe. This remark was reported in a New York Times article that was sourced from memos from the now-fired McCabe, along with testimony taken from former FBI General Counsel James Baker, who relayed a conversation he had with McCabe about the occurrence. Rosenstein issued a statement denying the accusations.

Baker, who was part of McCabe’s group, was communicating with journalist David Corn and has admitted to receiving a copy of the dossier from Corn in the days following the election. Baker has also admitted to secretly meeting with Perkins Coie lawyer Michael Sussmann, who provided Baker with documents and electronic media related to Russian meddling in the election. Perkins Coie is the law firm for the DNC and the Hillary Clinton campaign.

The madness of tyranny and what comes after – Middle East Monitor
In recent years, Morocco, Jordan, Oman and Kuwait have witnessed political reforms that have primarily met the aspirations of the people. Even those who did not like the reforms and their magnitude have returned to their homes and haven’t retaken to their streets, because the political system opened the door to peaceful participation and reinforced its respect of the people. This established stability in these countries and spared both the governments and people the tragedies of internal clashes.
