Sharing Views in MVC — A Quick Start with RazorGenerator.Mvc
NuGet package RazorGenerator.Mvc. This package allows you to compile views into a separate .dll and use them across multiple MVC web projects. However, I did not run across an easy to follow, complete start up guide. In this write up, I’ll lay out the steps to setup RazorGenerator.Mvc as well as some of the pros and cons to this approach.

Generating Outgoing URLs in Views in ASP.NET MVC – chsakell's Blog
Almost all MVC Web applications allow users to navigate from one View to another, usually relying on including links in the first View which eventually targets the action method that generates the second. Using simple anchor HTML elements “a” and targeting it’s “href” attribute to a specific controller’s action, maybe seems a good and an obvious solution but it can be dangerous choice.

ASP.NET MVC basics: outgoing URLs - Matt Randle - Matt Randle
This blog post is an explanation of the different ways of generating outgoing URLs in an MVC application and the  pros/cons of each approach. By outgoing URLs, I mean URLs that you include in your MVC views that point to the public URLs in your MVC app – most commonly for hrefs in <a> links and action attributes in <form> tags.

The MVC platform – the HtmlHelper class (part I) : LA.NET [EN]
After a long break, it’s time to go back to the MVC framework study. And today I’ll start from where I’ve stopped last time: the helpers. Today, I’m going to start talking about the HtmlHelper class which has lots of methods that you can use on your views for generating HTML.

Brad Wilson: ASP.NET MVC 3 Service Location, Part 4: Filters
Adding Dependency Injection to Filters
A filter provider is responsible to returning instances of filter objects to the MVC framework, so it's responsible for ensuring that dependency injection is properly observed, whenever possible.

One place where dependency injection has been difficult in the past is inside the filter attributes themselves. Because the .NET framework runtime is actually responsible for creating these attribute instances, we cannot use a traditional dependency injection strategy.

The Unity container is capable of providing non-constructor injection on existing object instances. Here is an example filter provider that overrides the default behavior of the FilterAttributeFilterProvider to enable property setter injection on filter attributes:

Using Subdomains in ASP.NET MVC | DanylkoWeb
There are a number of ways to address subdomains, but after a lot of research and examining other techniques, I thought the easiest way to create a subdomain would be through the ASP.NET MVC Routing mechanism using RouteBase

I'm trying to build a "Tenant" Subdomain route that attaches to a MVC Area. In this case I have an Area called "Tenant" which has two controllers; Public and Admin. My custom Route is used to grab the Subdomain if it matches then route them to the proper Controller-Action-Area.

Controller lookup and default controller factory
As the name, the Controller factory is the component responsible for searching and creating controllers. Like many other components, ASP.NET MVC has a built-in factory named DefaultControllerFactory that's pretty much sufficient in most cases.  mvc  aspnetmvc  controller  controllerfactory

Responsive design using Foundation with ASP.Net MVC
There are several frameworks that take away the hard work of  implementing a responsive design for a website, that will render pages appropriately according to the size of the window. Ed Charbeneau has pioneered the use of Zurb's Foundation Framework in ASP.NET MVC and describes how easy it is to install and use

Better Than MVC
There is so much hype around MVC and so-called MVC frameworks at the moment. Is the hype really worth it though? Does the MVC pattern really help us build lightly-coupled, extensible web applications. In this session, Damon will stir the pot on modern web application architecture and challenge you to think about other approaches before picking up the MVC hammer.

Our “Opinions” on the ASP.NET MVC (Introducing the Thunderdome Principle) - Jeremy D. Miller -- The Shade Tree Developer - CodeBetter.Com - Stuff you need to Code Better!
So many of us are so thrilled at seeing an official Front Controller / MVC framework for ASP.NET development that I think we’ve forgotten to ask ourselves “Is this thing any good?”  In *my* opinion, if you look at the ASP.NET MVC framework as a complete framework to be used out of the box, the MVC framework isn’t very good at all.  However, as a set of fairly loosely coupled classes that you can use to build a highly productive, specialized MVC stack for your specific application needs, the ASP.NET MVC framework is perfectly fine.  mvc  aspnetmvc

KaizenConf / Using and Abusing ASPNET MVC for Fun and Profit
After deciding to go with ASP.NET MVC Preview 2, we quickly ran into a few design/testability problems and some missing functionality we needed (it's a preview, after all). Still agreeing that ASP.NET MVC was good and still worth pursuing, we decided to begin filling in some of the gaps and trying to avoid some of the testability problems by creating our own extensions and overriding certain behavior.  Jeremy has come up with some great concepts during this process that we'd like to share with the community.
